Written by: Dc. Renata van Dyk Dear Brothers and Sisters, There come times in our lives when the road becomes too steep, the burden becomes too heavy, and our strength simply runs out. Times when we no longer have answers, no longer understand, and no longer know how to take another step forward. It is in such times that we need a Savior, an anchor. It is precisely in those moments that Jesus is closest to us. Don't be afraid, just believe!!! When you are too tired to stand, He will carry you. When the tears keep flowing, He will count them. When your heart is broken, He will hold it gently in His hands. You don’t have to be strong enough for tomorrow. You just have to hold on to the One who already holds tomorrow in His hands. The storm will not rage forever. The pain will not last forever. The darkness will not conquer forever. Because the Lord does not leave His children alone on the road. He carries them through the valleys, through the tears, through the disappointments and through the night. If you feel like you can't go on today, remember... You don't have to. Jesus will carry you every step of the way. On the other hand, we need to rejoice and still thank our Heavenly Father no matter what the circumstances. DON'T BE AFRAID! JUST BELIEVE . The two servants of God, Job and Habakkuk, are indeed great examples of struggling and battling, and yet they rejoice and praise God throughout their trials. That is unconditional Rejoicing. Habakkuk 3.17 "Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olives shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls; yet will I rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation."

Renata van Dyk It is so easy to rejoice in the Lord when everything is going well. That is exactly what the devil said to the Lord about His faithful servant Job, the most righteous man on earth. "It's easy for him to worship You when things are going well, but take away everything, and let's see what He can do." Isn't that so true even with us today in the world in which we live? It's when the going gets tough that the world wants to see how the Christians will react. In the book of Habakkuk, even though the farmer's crops are failing, yet he still rejoices in the Lord. That is what God is expecting of us today. Because of the end of the day, the good news is that if we are in Christ, we will have the victory. Sometimes, a situation might appear to be an absolute disaster, and yet it turns out to be an absolute blessing. Let's live out our motto for this year . DON'T BE AFRAID JUST BELIEVE With love and blessings Dc Renata van Dyk
3The battlefield of the mind...When Overthinking Becomes Spiritual Warfare Overthinking is not always a mind problem—sometimes it is a spiritual battlefield where the enemy wages war against your peace. Often, overthinking disguises itself as discernment. But when your thoughts spiral into fear, doubt, anxiety, or constant self-questioning, it is no longer healthy reflection—it is torment. The enemy thrives on mental noise, using it to drown out the still, small voice of God. When your mind feels chaotic and your worries become overwhelming, that is your cue to stop analyzing and start praying. Peace is not found in over-processing every situation; it is found in surrendering it to God. Bring every runaway thought captive under Christ's authority. Guard your mind as sacred ground, because what occupies your mind will influence your heart, your decisions, and your faith. “We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 10:5 Instead of fighting battles in your head, take them into your prayer room— where true victory is found. Your mind is a powerful gift from God, and you have the responsibility of stewarding it well. You are the CEO of your mind. Will you allow overthinking to dictate your decisions, or will you create space for the Holy Spirit to work within your mind and soul? The choice is yours... Freedom begins with a deliberate decision to invite God into your thoughts. When you surrender your worries, fears, and unanswered questions to Him, His peace can take the place of your striving. Stop rehearsing the problem and start trusting the One who holds the solution.

8MUSICWritten by: Sr. Beverley Brandt Music: A Gift That Reaches the Soul Music is a lifeline for many of us. When life becomes overwhelming, when our hearts are heavy, or when we struggle to find the words for what we feel, one of the first things we often do is turn on music. There is something powerful about a melody that can comfort us, strengthen us, and help us process emotions that seem too deep for words. As Christians, we understand that music is more than entertainment—it is a gift from God. It has the ability to minister to the heart, soothe the soul, and draw us into His presence. Throughout Scripture, we see how music was used to worship, pray, celebrate victories, and find comfort in difficult seasons. Music is what feelings sound like. It gives voice to the emotions hidden deep within us and creates a bridge between our hearts and God. When we cannot express our pain, our gratitude, our confusion, or our hope, a song often says what our words cannot. There are moments when prayer feels difficult, when tears become our language, and when our hearts are too burdened to speak. In those moments, worship music becomes a form of spiritual therapy—not because the music itself has power, but because it points us back to the One who does. It reminds us of God's faithfulness, His promises, and His nearness even in our darkest valleys. When words fail, music speaks. When strength fades, worship restores. When anxiety rises, praise shifts our focus from our problems to the greatness of God. Music has a unique way of reaching places within us that conversation cannot. It awakens faith when hope feels distant, brings peace to a troubled mind, and helps us encounter God's presence in a deeply personal way. So be mindful of what fills your ears, because what enters your heart through music can either draw you closer to God or distract you from Him. Choose music that strengthens your spirit, renews your mind, and reminds you of the truth of who God is. When life gets you down, don't just turn on music—turn your heart toward worship. Let every melody become a prayer, every lyric a declaration of faith, and every song a reminder that God is with you, even when words are not enough. "Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth." — Psalm 96:1

11My dearly beloved Brothers and Sisters, Your life is a living testimony of God's faithfulness. Every wrinkle tells a story of His grace, and every smile reflects His love and light. May your days be filled with His peace, your nights with restful sleep, and your heart with the blessed assurance that you are deeply loved, richly blessed, and never forgotten by our Heavenly Father—or by any one of us. Like a tree planted by streams of water, you have stood strong through seasons of sunshine and storm. Your wisdom is a precious gift to the generations that follow, and your faith is a light that continues to shine brightly. May you always feel God's loving presence walking beside you each day, guiding, strengthening, and comforting you. Let us continue to pray for one another, encourage one another, and motivate each other to remain steadfast in faith, always trusting in the Lord's perfect plan. Together, may we keep growing in His love, serving Him with joyful hearts, and inspiring those around us through lives that reflect His goodness and grace. May our loving Heavenly Father continue to bless you abundantly, grant you good health, surround you with His peace, and strengthen you each day. May His unfailing love sustain you, His grace uphold you, and His joy fill your heart now and always. God bless you always.Written by: Retired Shepherd.
