This document is the proceedings of the 2025 International Conference on Road and Transport Infrastructure (ICRTI 2025), jointly organised by the Ministry of Works Malaysia and strategic partners including a platinum principal partner. It is a technical reference for civil engineers, transportation planners, researchers, and infrastructure policymakers.
The first section covers Parallel Session 1 on Transportation Engineering, with papers on smart lane implementation in Malaysia, intelligent transport system deployment, third-party access to controlled-access highways, AI-based autonomous shuttle integration, and infrastructure-based tyre monitoring for fleet safety.
Parallel Sessions 2 and 3 address Pavement Engineering and Bridge Engineering. Pavement papers examine fatigue performance of fly ash-modified asphalt, crumb rubber modified asphalt, natural rubber modified asphalt with RAP, and rubberized asphalt technology in China. Bridge papers cover exclusive motorcycle lane safety, UHPC composite bridges under urban and coastal exposure, and bridge condition assessment using inspection data.
Parallel Sessions 4 and 5 focus on Smart Technology and Road Forensic Engineering. Smart technology papers discuss autonomous solar-powered IoT flood early warning systems, VISSIM and SIDRA comparison at signalised intersections, sensor-based asphalt thickness control, and AI-powered rider assistance. Forensic papers cover sustainable pavement asset management, bridge structural integrity using ambient vibration testing, culvert-associated road failures, and subgrade failure investigation…
Parallel Sessions 6 and 7 cover Environment & Sustainability and Slope & Geotechnical Engineering. Sustainability papers address functional additives in modified bitumen, geosynthetic solutions driven by ESG practices, ceramic sludge waste as mineral filler, warm mix asphalt with RAP, and net-zero operational excellence. Slope papers discuss debris flow protection, automated fibre optic landslide monitoring, caisson foundation evaluation, and dynamic compaction performance in Malaysian soils.
Later sessions include Pavement Engineering (UV aging, IRI and FWD evaluation, warm mix asphalt, functional pavement indices, high-modulus asphalt), Highway Engineering (intelligent traffic data analytics, scalable road condition monitoring, climate-resilient design, rubberized fibre noise reduction, multi-speed deflectometer), Road Safety (clear zone design, human rights, motorcycle safety countermeasures, precast concrete barriers), Bridge Engineering (UHPC link slabs, precast segmental…
