MISSION The mission of the Bridge Builders Academy Mentoring Program is to address the challenges that young men are confronted with daily. The Beta Lambda Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, through its “See It Through Foundation”, will advance its contributions to the Fraternity’s Fatherhood Initiatives and Mentoring Mandated Programs by facilitating the “Bridge Builders Academy” in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Through completion of the Bridge Builders Academy program, the students will be prepared to serve, lead, thrive and achieve in our community and society. HISTORY Launched in August 2023 by The See It Through Foundation, Bridge Builders Academy was created to educate young men and is rooted in the belief that education is the key to collective success. The program supports Gwinnett County Public Schools by equipping students with tools to thrive through mentorship, experiences, and exposure to professionals. Core offerings include a Summer Program, Group Mentoring, and STEM, along with programs in Financial Literacy, Health, and Leadership Development.
OMEGA PSI PHI FRATERNITY, INC. Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was founded on November 17, 1911 at Howard University by Edgar Arnos Love, Frank Charles Coleman, Oscar James Cooper, and faculty advisor Dr. Ernest Everett Just. As the first Black national fraternity founded at a Historically Black college, Omega Psi Phi has over 700 chapters worldwide and a long- standing legacy of leadership, service, and social action.SEE IT THROUGH FOUNDATION The See It Through Foundation of Gwinnett, founded on June 17, 2014, partners with the Beta Lambda Chapter of Omega Psi Phi to promote Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uphilt in Gwinnett County, guided by the belief that “Friendship is Essential in the Soul” and a commitment to creating conditions for success.
