In mathematics, the Fibonacci sequence is a sequence in which each element is the sum of the two elements that precede it. Numbers that are part of the Fibonacci sequence are known as Fibonacci numbers. In the Fibonacci sequence, each number in the series is calculated by adding the two numbers before it. Generally, the first two terms of the Fibonacci series are 0 and 1. The Fibonacci sequence was known in India hundreds of years before Leonardo Pisano Bigollo knew about it. November 23rd is celebrated as Fibonacci Day, as it has the digits "1, 1, 2, 3" which is part of the sequence. The Fibonacci sequence can also be linked to the GOLDEN RATIO.The golden ratio is the relationship between two numbers that come one after the other in the Fibonacci sequence. It’s represented by the symbol φ. You’ll often spot this ratio in nature, and designers use it because it makes things look balanced and naturally attractive. Architecture uses it a lot too. Buildings like the Great Pyramid of Egypt and the Great Mosque of Kairouan are famous examples where the golden ratio was part of the design. They appear in Sunflowers as the seed arrangements often form spiral patterns with Fibonacci numbers of spirals.Pine cones ,the scales commonly form spiral counts that are Fibonacci numbers. > The history of mathematics traces back over 30,000 years, evolving from simple tally marks and counting in prehistoric times to the abstract, complex discipline we know today. Driven by early human needs for agriculture, trade, and measurement, it expanded through major civilizations into a universal language of logic and science. > Modern Mathematics (19th – 21st Centuries) Abstraction: The focus shifted from studying the physical world to abstract structures like set theory, abstract algebra, and non-Euclidean geometries. Computers: The 20th century linked mathematics tightly to computer science, enabling modern cryptography, artificial intelligence, and our digital world. ECONOMICS

It’s easy to think of economics as just a bunch of boring, large-scale charts, but microeconomics proves it is actually happening right in front of us every day. It zooms in on the real, human side of the numbers—the actual reasons why we make the choices we do. Think about deciding if a vending machine snack is worth the price when you're starving between classes, or figuring out how to balance study time with a part-time shift. Every time we weigh those options, we aren't just making a random choice; we are actively dealing with supply, demand, and trade-offs. Microeconomics simply shows us that our daily routines and gut decisions are part of a much bigger, connected system. Under the Microscope: Decoding the DNA of Daily Commerce BY-SHREYA S

STATISTICS FOR ECONOMIC > Statistics for Economics introduces students to the quantitative tools used to analyze economic data and make decisions. > The curriculum covers five core phases: Collection, Organization, Presentation, Analysis, and Interpretation of data, concluding with foundational mathematical tools like Index Numbers and Correlation. > Key Economic Indicators Policymakers and analysts rely on specific quantitative metrics to measure financial health and market activity: → Gross Domestic Product (GDP) → Inflation Rate → Unemployment Rate → Interest Rates → The Journal of Business & Economic Statistics is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal published by the American Statistical Association. The journal covers a broad range of applied problems in business and economic statistics, including forecasting, seasonal adjustment, applied demand and cost analysis, applied econometric modeling, empirical finance, analysis of survey and longitudinal data related to business and economic problems, the impact of discrimination on wages and productivity, the returns to education and training, the effects of unionization, and applications of stochastic control theory to business and economic problems.

Two main statistical methods are used in 1. Data analysis: which summarize data from a sample using indexes such as the mean or standard deviation, and inferential statistics, which draw conclusions from data that are subject to random variation (e.g., observational errors, sampling variation) 2. Descriptive statistics: Descriptive statistics are most often concerned with two sets of properties of a distribution (sample or population): central tendency (or location) seeks to characterize the distribution's central or typical value, while dispersion (or variability) characterizes the extent to which members of the distribution depart from its center and each other. Inferences made using mathematical statistics employ the framework of probability theory, which deals with the analysis of random phenomena. Done by: Reshmi R Class: XI A

BUSINESS STUDIES

TIME WELL LIVED There has been something that has always fascinated me,a machine that has always been present around us but one that we often forget to appreciate. A watch which tells us time, that we wear on wrist or carry in our pocket, something which does not just tell us time but help us value it. Analog, digital, smart watches and many more have entered the market ,but my personal favorites will be analogs. People have become so dependent on digital watches and smart watches that they have forgotten to read a normal clock. But with the passing time everything must be faster. People are obsessed with instant things, that we forget a time when we Indians were dependent on foreigners for our watches. I am writing about India's most successful and influential consumer brand, who is India's first largest watch manufacturer “TITAN”. Back in 1978-79, Xerxes Desai,a Tata executive who is given the task of reviving a struggling division. During this time he comes up with the idea that india should manufacture world class quartz watches instead of depending on foreign brands. Despite being underestimated , he gains the support of JRD Tata and the foundation is laid for the watches project. During 1980-83 , a team of talented men and women work together to make the dream into a reality. Obstacles were there such as making the Indian government and the Tata officials believe that an Indian quartz watch company can succeed . Finally they have a partnership with the Tamil Nadu government and the formal birth of Titan. In 1986 Titan builds its manufacturing base in Hosur.Despite repeated setbacks the project is kept alive. This efforts lead to the creation of India's first quartz watch. In 1987 ,Titan’s first attempt to sell its watches disappointed the team, forcing them to rethink their approach. The open of tita’s first store marks an important milestone.Spanning 1988-90,Titan works on strengthening its brand. Strengthened through innovative advertisement and innovative pricing strategies. These efforts helped the company become a trusted and well known name across India. From 1991 to 1993, Titan faced major challenges despite its growing success. Through innovation and determination, the company overcame setbacks and developed technologies that paved the way for future achievements such as the Titan Edge watch From Titan we learn that we should possesss a clear vision, never give up,be innovative, focus on quality, put costumers first and work as a team. Once I hope to build a brand like Titan or enter the market of watches By RAGI S KRISHNA XI A

Business Idea: Eco-Friendly Paper Bag Business With the increasing ban on plastic bags, the demand for eco-friendly alternatives has grown. A small business can be started by making and selling paper bags to local grocery stores, gift shops, bakeries, and pharmacies. The business requires a small investment for paper, glue, scissors, and printing materials. Attractive designs and custom logos can be added to meet customer preferences. Paper bags are biodegradable, reusable, and environmentally friendly, making them a popular choice among consumers. This business can create employment, promote environmental protection, and generate a steady income. By maintaining good quality and reasonable prices, the business can gradually expand and attract more customers. The Ties We ChooseLife is made of countless moments—some loud with laughter, others quiet with lessons. As the days pass, faces come and go, but a few remain, turning ordinary memories into extraordinary ones. Those are the people we call friends.
