This document is a set of household guidelines for students assigned to AHEC student housing. It is intended for residents and outlines their responsibilities during their stay.
The guidelines begin with check-in procedures. Students must inspect the apartment and report any damage using a Housing Checklist sent via DocuSign. They are advised to take pictures of unsatisfactory conditions or damage and send them to a specified phone number.
The document lists prohibited items and activities. Weapons, guns, candles, incense, and open flames are not allowed. No guests or pets are permitted, with service or comfort animals requiring prior approval. The housing is a smoke and drug-free environment, and alcohol abuse leads to immediate removal.
Residents must not duplicate or share keys or change locks. They must not damage or remove furnishings or safety equipment. Students are expected to conserve utilities, keep noise to a minimum, and maintain clean quarters. They are liable for cleaning and repairs due to negligence.
The guidelines cover maintenance and entry. Students must report malfunctions and allow cleaning personnel access. AHEC reserves the right to enter without notice for inspections. Internet policies must be followed. In severe weather, AHEC will notify residents of closures and safety procedures.
