AMBASSADOR SUBCOMMITTEESMany of the below tasks and responsibilities involve the entire team; however, subcommittees play a vital role in ensuring our collective efforts are organized, efficient, and effective. By having subcommittees, we ensure that every aspect of our work is attended to thoughtfully and strategically. At the same time, we acknowledge that teamwork and shared responsibility remain the foundation of our success.1. Member Engagement Subcommittee Purpose: Focuses on building and maintaining relationships with current members. This team can be responsible for regularly checking in with members, and ensuring members are aware of Chamber benefits and upcoming events. Responsibilities: Conduct monthly outreach to members (via phone or email or in person). Organize member appreciation efforts. Monitor engagement levels and recognize top engaged members by providing feedback to chamber staff. Coordinate twice-quarterly blitzes to visit and highlight members' businesses. Don’t forget home based businesses! Idea for consideration - a home-based business blitz hosted at the chamber. Goal: 5 contact per committee member/month. Target inactive members and those that are coming up for renewal. Request list from chamber staff. Ask if they want to be added to list for blitz. 2. Event Planning Subcommittee Purpose: Assists with planning and coordinating Ambassador lead events, such as mixers, ribbon-cuttings, Ambassador holiday party, and luncheons. Responsibilities: Help organize logistics, guest speakers, and venues for events. Organize Ambassador mixer/social and holiday party. Source sponsorship for larger events if needed. Volunteer at events for set-up, registration, and greeting attendees.
3. New Member Welcome Subcommittee Purpose: Dedicated to welcoming new members to the Chamber and ensuring they feel connected and engaged from the start. Responsibilities: Distribute welcome packets to new members. Chamber staff to create packets. Ask businesses if they would like a social media highlight/reel. Instagram/FaceBook and tag Chamber and Business. Organize one-on-one introductory meetings or calls with new members. Facilitate introductions to other Chamber members and ambassadors at luncheons and networking events. Greet new members at luncheon at registration, help them make connections and introductions. Sit with them if possible. 5. Ambassador Success - Incoming Co-Lead Purpose: Responsible for tracking ambassador engagement and attendance to fulfill ambassador requirements Responsibilities: Manage point tracker Send quarterly updates on points to each ambassador Take attendance at each event such as luncheons, ribbon cuttings, ambassador meetings and track event participation (WOW, Awards, Golf etc) Monitor points and provide feedback to chamber staff for Ambassador of the Month recognition. 4. Communications Subcommittee Purpose: Oversees promoting Chamber activities, events, and member businesses through social media and assists in coordinating Ambassador Calendar, and Meeting Minutes. Responsibilities: Take Meeting Minutes for Ambassador meetings and post to GroupMe. Consider a Google Drive that is accessible to all Ambassadors. Create Calendar of Events in GroupMe for Ambassadors
