This is a personal journal for the E2 Global Compass Ocean Confidence & Conservation program, a Philippine English immersion program that combines English practice, scuba diving, adventure, conservation and global citizenship. It is designed for students participating in the program.
The journal opens with a program promise where the student pledges to listen to teachers and instructors, respect the ocean and local people, never touch wildlife, speak English as much as possible, help the team and write honestly. It also lists safety and respect rules divided into ocean rules, adventure rules and community rules.
The next section contains a page for setting personal ocean goals, with prompts for something the student wants to learn, something they want to try, and how they can care for the ocean. Following that is an ocean discovery log with columns for date, place, what the student noticed, and a new ocean word.
The journal also includes a vocabulary section titled 'My Ocean Words' where students can write a new word, its meaning, use it in a sentence, and draw it. The document is intended to be used throughout the program to track learning and experiences.
