The morning session begins at 7:45 AM with registration, followed by a prayer, the national anthem, and the college hymn. After an audio-visual presentation, the programme includes an acknowledgement of participants by Ms. Welyn L. Asendiente, welcome remarks by Dr. Quilin Veen L. Babaylan, and an inspirational message. Ms. Jelyn S. Sarong presents the statement of purpose and training objectives.
The first key learning area, led by Dr. Frank Aiken Alan, covers understanding artificial intelligence and its emerging role in higher education. After a health break, the second key learning area addresses AI applications in teaching, learning, assessment, and academic support. A demonstration on using AI tools for lesson planning, content development, and instructional materials follows before the lunch break.
The afternoon session resumes with key learning areas on ethical, responsible, and inclusive use of AI, as well as academic integrity, data privacy, bias, accuracy, and responsible AI use. After a health break, a guided workshop on developing an AI-enhanced teaching and learning activity is conducted.
The programme concludes with presentation of selected workshop outputs, critiquing and feedback, an open forum, and a post-training evaluation. The day ends with awarding of certificates and tokens to the resource speakers, followed by closing remarks and a photo opportunity.
