ABOUT THE SCHOOL SHIVALIK PUBLIC SCHOOL

Education in present time is no longer confined to the transfer of information; it is a journey of transformation. In an era defined by technological advancement, rapid global change, and boundless access to knowledge, the true purpose of education is to nurture thoughtful, ethical, and adaptable individuals. At we believe that a school must be a dynamic learning community where students are inspired to think critically, act responsibly, and learn continuously. Our teachers serve as facilitators and mentors, guiding learners to absorb, analyse, and apply knowledge meaningfully in real-life contexts. Aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020, our academic framework is holistic, multidisciplinary, and skill-oriented. We emphasize conceptual clarity, experiential learning, flexibility in subject choices, and the seamless integration of technology in classrooms. Our focus is on nurturing the core competencies of curiosity, creativity, communication, collaboration, and character — qualities essential for Gen Z learners to thrive in a competitive global landscape. We understand that education today extends beyond academic excellence. Students and parents seek emotional resilience, digital literacy, ethical grounding, and global exposure. Our enriched learning environment supports mental well-being, leadership development, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking. Through project-based learning, scientific inquiry, arts integration, community engagement, and sports, we prepare our learners to adapt confidently and excel in a rapidly evolving world. As responsible educators, we integrate the principles of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into our ethos — promoting quality education, gender equality, environmental awareness, responsible consumption, and climate action. We encourage our students to understand their relationship with self, society, and the environment, fostering empathy, integrity, and accountability. At Shivalik , excellence is pursued with compassion and integrity. We remain steadfast in our commitment to empowering every child to become a confident individual, a lifelong learner, and a responsible global citizen — ready not only to embrace the future but to shape it sustainably and meaningfully. With warm regards and best wishes, Ms Satwant Devinder Kaur “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” Albert Einstein From the Director's Desk 1

ducation in the contemporary era transcends the mere dissemination of knowledge; it is a Eprofound endeavour to nurture enlightened minds, compassionate hearts, and resilient spirits. In an ever-evolving world shaped by rapid transformation and global interconnectedness, schools shoulder the vital responsibility of shaping individuals who are not only intellectually accomplished but also ethically grounded and socially conscious. At our institution, we firmly believe that every child is invaluable, endowed with a distinctive constellation of talents and aspirations. Each learner who walks through our corridors carries immense promise, and it remains our steadfast commitment to cultivate an inclusive and nurturing environment where this promise can flourish unhindered. We strive to ensure that every student feels valued, heard, and inspired to pursue excellence in their own distinctive way. True education lies in the holistic development of the individual. While academic rigour remains integral to our mission, equal emphasis is placed on nurturing creativity, critical inquiry, emotional intelligence, and moral fortitude. Through a vibrant tapestry of scholastic, co-curricular, and experiential opportunities, we endeavour to shape well-rounded individuals who possess the confidence to lead, the humility to learn, and the resilience to overcome adversity. In today's dynamic global milieu, preparing students to emerge as responsible and enlightened global citizens is of paramount importance. We seek to instil in them empathy, respect for diversity, and a commitment to sustainable and ethical living. By encouraging curiosity, collaboration, adaptability, and innovative thinking, we equip learners with the competencies required to navigate the complexities of the twenty-first century with discernment and integrity. As we move forward, let us continue to work in harmonious partnership—educators, parents, and students alike—to nurture a vibrant learning community rooted in excellence, integrity, and lifelong learning. I extend my sincere appreciation to our dedicated educators, supportive parents, and spirited students whose collective commitment continues to strengthen the proud ethos of our institution and illuminate the path of progress. With warm regards Dr. Gurkiran Jeet Nalwa EDUCATIONAL ADVISOR'S INSIGHT 2

From the Principal's Desk 3 Dear Students, Each one of you carries a unique spark within. Just like a prism transforms a single ray of light into a beautiful spectrum of colors, each of you has the ability to turn your talents, dreams, and ideas into something extraordinary. Every student in our school represents a different color in this spectrum—each distinct, yet equally important in creating the vibrant picture of our school community. A school is not just a place where lessons are taught; it is a place where character is shaped, curiosity is encouraged, and dreams begin to take flight. Every day, through your learning, your discipline, your kindness, and your determination, you contribute to the spirit and identity of our institution. Whether you shine in academics, sports, arts, music, leadership, or acts of kindness toward others, each effort adds value and beauty to the collective success of our school. Over the past months, I have been truly inspired by the dedication and enthusiasm that many of you have shown in your studies, activities, and interactions with others. Success is not always measured by marks or medals alone. It is also reflected in the effort you put into improving yourself, the courage you show when facing challenges, and the respect and empathy you demonstrate toward those around you. Remember that every great achievement begins with a willingness to try. Do not be afraid of mistakes, for they are often the stepping stones to learning and growth. What truly matters is perseverance, self-belief, and the determination to keep moving forward even when the path seems difficult. Your teachers and mentors are always there to guide and support you, helping you discover the best version of yourself. As we step into the refreshing season of spring, nature itself reminds us of the beauty of growth and renewal. Just as plants bloom after careful nurturing, your abilities and aspirations flourish when you invest time, dedication, and positivity in your journey. Let this season inspire you to explore new ideas, set meaningful goals, and continue striving for excellence in everything you do. Each one of you has immense potential waiting to unfold. When you believe in yourself and embrace your individuality, you not only brighten your own path but also illuminate the lives of those around you. Together, you form a spectrum of talents and possibilities that makes our school truly special. So continue to dream big, work hard, and stay curious. Remember—you are the prism, and your potential has the power to create a rainbow of opportunities and achievements. With best wishes for your continued growth and success WARM REGARDS MS. BHUPINDER KAUR Ralph Waldo Emerson: “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”

From Administrator's Desk 4 Our school is committed to the belief that quality education shapes a brighter future for our students. With this in mind, we have recently upgraded our infrastructure and facilities to create a more inspiring and effective learning environment. Classrooms are now equipped with smart boards and digital resources to make lessons more interactive, and the library has been expanded with a wider range of books and e-resources for enhanced learning opportunities. Our advanced laboratories provide practical, hands-on experiences, while improved sports facilities—including a refurbished playground and upgraded indoor areas—promote physical well-being. In the coming years, we aim to further enhance our digital capabilities, introduce environmentally sustainable practices, and expand co-curricular spaces to foster creativity and innovation. Ensuring a clean, safe, and green campus continues to be a priority as we prepare students to face future challenges with confidence. These developments, both current and planned, reflect our strong dedication to holistic growth, innovation, and excellence in education.
