PROJECT - 0101 This live/work design is a small, sustainable residence that brings together the practices of a woodworker (whittler) and a botanical herbalist within one cohesive environment. The layout carefully separates public, work, and private zones. The whittler’s workshop and the herbalist’s garden are positioned to operate independently without disturbance, yet visually and spatially linked. Sustainability is a key driver in the design, incorporating material choices such as local wood, greenery, and earthy tones, reinforcing the project’s identity. PROJECT - 03 03 This project outlines a climate-responsive live/work development at Kingston Harbour in Port Royal, aimed at fostering residential life and small-scale economic activities like fishing and craft. The design draws from local building traditions and integrates passive strategies suited for the tropical coastal environment. The spatial layout features a public waterfront zone for workspaces, transitioning to a semi-private courtyard that promotes social interaction while offering shade and ventilation. Private residential areas are strategically located for comfort, privacy, and noise reduction.
