It honestly doesn’t seem that long ago I was watching little Beckie splashing around in the pool at Greensward, learning to swim. Before I knew it, I was watching you begin your next chapter as a baby swimming teacher, those babies adored you, just like we all do! And now, somehow, I’m about to watch you walk down the aisle. Where have the years gone, soon you’ll be Mrs Andrews. Over the last few years, you’ve shown so much determination. Watching you transform yourself, not just physically but in confidence too, it has been inspiring to me. You should be incredibly proud of everything you’ve achieved. You knew what you wanted, new job, new you, and grabbed it with both hands. Beckie, one thing that’s never changed is your personality. Although we weren’t inseparable back then, I’m so grateful life had other plans for us. Some of my earliest memories of our friendship involve those legendary boozy house gatherings at yours after sixth form, where lifelong friendships were really made. Then came our first girls’ holiday to Egypt – a trip I’ll never forget for so many reasons, not least because you somehow decided that every girl needed a camel painted on her big toenail! Looking back now, it feels like the perfect introduction to the wonderfully random, hilarious person you are. Life took us in different directions for a little while in our twenties, and we spent a few years out of touch. But sometimes the best friendships just need a little nudge to find their way back. Being bridesmaids together for Holly’s wedding was exactly that, and I’m so thankful it brought us back together. I’ve watched you kiss a few rather questionable frogs over the years, but every single one of them led you to Chris – your prince, your best friend, and the man who makes you so incredibly happy. It feels like only yesterday we were drinking vodka at charlottes on a random Wednesday pretending we were the real housewives of Essex and wondering what our lives what look like. We’ve celebrated the joy of new loves, new houses, new jobs and new babies, and mourned the loss of loved ones, old loves and heartbreak we didn’t think would come. Hahaha. And now we get to celebrate one of the biggest milestones of them all, your wedding to Chris. When I think of the person I imagined for you, Chris ticks every box. The way he loves you, cares for you and makes you laugh is everything you deserve and more. You have the kindest heart that deserves all of the love in the world, and It makes me so happy watching you both creating a joyful life together. No fewer than THREE Butlins later (plus a week of shenanigans in Turkey), and the Wags bond is unbreakable.
