03About UsNew Vision Youth, Services, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that offers support services to disadvantaged youth and young adults in the Hampton Roads region.Our Mission NVYS serves as a bridge linking together the people and resources for youth to make the connections needed to transition successfully into adulthood.
Our program has a proven track record that lowers the risk of unemployment and homelessness by teaching independence and connecting youth to the needed resources. We help promote positive behaviour change and positive life outcomes. We work together with parents and guardians to advocate for the youth. Our Services06Case Management Services (Home Based) Non-Clinical Provided by Case Managers for youth not meeting criteria for Intensive Home-Based Services Goal: Help youth remain engaged and stable in their community Develop individualized service plans to guide interventions Support youth and families in achieving and maintaining stability
Our Services07Casey Life Skills Training Casey Life Skills Training provided by QMHP/Life Skill Coaches Supports youth in achieving both short-term and long-term goals Conduct "Life Skills Assessments" to identify areas for assistance We consider each youth's age and developmental level Areas Assessed: Daily Living, Self Care, Relationships and Communication, Housing and Money Management, Work and Study, Career and Education Planning, Looking forward, and Permanency
