Ten editions of sharing our stories, our challenges and our achievements. I am grateful to every reader and every contributor who has made this journey possible. Our Safety Transformation Initiative continues to move forward with stronger momentum. We are now seeing progress on the ground — from growing safety consciousness across plants to the increasing numbers of engineering controls being put to improve safety. Progress has been achieved in all the areas : PSM Thinktank working on Barrier Health Management of Top Risks & initiating implementation of PSM across the complex, IM Team strengthening our incident investigations, SRP Team releasing new standards, CDC Team driving communication across the complex & SI Team working to improve workplace safety. Everyone is striving hard and all kudos go to the members of our Plant Implementation Teams ( PITs) for making this happen. We have recently entered into a partnership with M/s Teknor Apex, a global leader from the USA, to form a new joint venture called PolyTek. This is a proud moment for all of us at DCM Shriram and a sign of the exciting future ahead. This will help us to drive new products across our advanced polymer compounds business. Alongside Safety, we are also focusing on Production, Energy Efficiency & Environment. Our plants are old vintage, but we continue to run them with optimum performance. To sustain the performance in the years ahead, we need Continuous Improvements in production, efficiency & water savings. It gives us a great joy to welcome our new GETs who have joined us this year through "Catalyst" program. These young engineers are the future of our organisation and I truly believe their energy, curiosity & fresh ideas will add value to our operations. The facility was formally inaugurated by Mr. K.K. Kaul, Member, Group Management Board, in the presence of senior leadership and employees. The inauguration reflects the company's continued commitment to fostering a culture of learning, innovation, collaboration, and people development. A centre built not just with bricks and mortar, but with a vision to inspire learning, foster collaboration, strengthen safety culture, and bring people together for a better tomorrow."
BUSINESS UPDATES Milestones, achievements, and operational highlights from our businesses FERTILISER Mechanical Fertiliser Digital Condition Monitoring of Reciprocating Compressors As part of our ongoing reliability improvement and digitalization initiatives, online condition monitoring through Windrock Analysis was carried out on four critical reciprocating compressors in the Ammonia Plant by a representative from M/s HOERBIGER. The assessment covered CO₂ Compressor-A, CO₂ Compressor-B, CO₂ Compressor- Addl., and Syn Gas Compressor-B. On the basis of this online health monitoring analysis, we can make plan for condition-based maintenance instead of preventive maintenance plan that enhance our plant reliability in terms of machine availability & better usage of spares. Early detection of equipment deterioration can also reduce the risk of unexpected breakdowns and associated production losses. The initiative represents an important step toward digitalization of equipment reliability, enabling data-driven maintenance decisions, improved machine availability, optimized spare consumption, and enhanced overall reliability of the Ammonia Plant.
BUSINESS UPDATES Milestones, achievements, and operational highlights from our businesses FERTILISER Road Safety Awareness: Reinforcing safe driving practices, traffic rule compliance, and responsible behaviour both inside and outside the plant. The interactive sessions encouraged active participation and highlighted that safe behaviour is a personal responsibility as well as a collective commitment. Such initiatives play a vital role in enhancing safety awareness, reducing unsafe acts, and fostering a proactive safety culture across the complex. As part of our continuous efforts to strengthen the safety culture and promote positive behavioural change, two focused safety awareness training sessions were conducted for officers and technicians. The sessions covered the following topics: Proper Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Emphasizing the correct selection, inspection, and use of PPE to minimize workplace risks and ensure personal safety. It was decided to replace the two Stairs and landing platform with new. BUSINESS UPDATES Milestones, achievements, and operational highlights from our businesses FERTILISER Mechanical Fertiliser Fabrication of Oil Cooler - Ammonia Feed Pump Gear Box All Gear Box of Ammonia Feed pump are fitted with Oil Cooler . Oil Cooler of AFPP-A Found badly passing which was replaced with spare Oil cooler. It was decided to procure a New Oil Cooler but Urea Team decided to build the Oil Cooler Inhouse. Shell and Dish End was fabricated in house and assembled with a Used Tube Bundle. The Fabricated Oil Cooler was hydrotested at a 5 kg/cm2 and kept ready for use. New Windsocks for Safer Response To enhance emergency preparedness, new windsocks with dedicated monkey ladders and platforms have been installed in the Urea Plant. Now, the bright red-and-white socks stand tall and fully visible across the plant. The cage ladder and platform give teams safe, easy access for inspection and maintenance. The improved visibility of wind direction enables faster decision-making during emergencies , strengthening the plant's overall emergency response capability. Deluge System at Reactor B As part of ongoing process safety improvements, the deluge sprinkler system at the bottom of Reactor B has been successfully commissioned. The system provides rapid water spray coverage in the event of an ammonia leak, helping to mitigate consequences and significantly improving emergency response readiness.
Reward & Recognition for Valuable Contributions BUSINESS UPDATES Milestones, achievements, and operational highlights from our businesses FERTILISER First time R&R function was organised in Mechanical Fertilizer department, which include 45 participants from Ammonia Mechanical, Urea Mechanical & Common Mechanical. In which, 14 participants were awarded. Mr. Narayan Singh - Successfully completed the in-house fitting of the Syn Gas Compressor 3rd stage cylinder liner, saving approximately ₹0.80 lakh. The initiative showcased teamwork, technical expertise, and cost-effective problem solving. Mr. Firon Kumar Rana & Mr. Mohan Lal - Swiftly repaired the failed CB coupler of the SAN-381 locomotive during coal tippling operations. The timely restoration minimized downtime and ensured uninterrupted operations. Mr. Risabh Gangwar - Promptly identified and controlled a minor fire at the Syn Gas Compressor during a routine plant round. His quick action prevented escalation and ensured reliable plant operation. Mr. Manish Kumar & Mr. Hemant Kumar - Completed the priority repair of the SAN-381 locomotive transmission, restoring service within a short time. Their timely efforts prevented operational delays and avoided demurrage.

Current Best Practice Toolbox Talks are now conducted at the job site immediately before work begins. All personnel involved—operators, contractors, supervisors, and workmen—participate. Job hazards, PPE, control measures, and emergency actions are explained at the workplace. Benefits Improved understanding of job-specific hazards. Better communication and workforce participation. The training covered the work permit system, emergency response procedures, good housekeeping practices, hazard identification, and the importance of reporting unsafe conditions.

During the meeting, the status of pending and completed safety-related activities was reviewed and discussed. UR PARAGRAPH TEXT BEFOREWater pond algae cleaning It was observed that algae cleaning around the cement plant pond was unsafe due to the absence of edge protection. Workers were exposed to the risk of slipping, falling into the pond, and losing balance on wet, slippery surfaces. After installing the new safety railing, workers can safely perform algae cleaning while wearing a safety belt. The combination of the safety railing and safety belt prevents falls, provides secure access, improves worker confidence during maintenance activities, and ensures compliance with workplace safety requirements. BUSINESS UPDATES Milestones, achievements, and operational highlights from our businesses POWER PLANT Optimization in P66 Through Strategic Utilization of Renewable Energy As part of our continuous efforts towards operational excellence and energy efficiency, Power Plant team successfully leveraged the availability of Renewable Energy (RE) power to optimize the performance of the 66 MW generating unit. 40 MW unit was brought into operation, creating an opportunity to undertake performance optimization activities on the 66 MW unit without affecting overall power reliability by taking short shutdown of P66 boiler and reducing load on TG set: Reduction in Boiler Auxiliary Power Consumption by attending APH tube leakages Enhanced Steam Turbine Performance by Condenser tube HP water jet cleaning.
BUSINESS UPDATES Milestones, achievements, and operational highlights from our businesses POWER PLANT Digitalisation Initiative: Onboarding of P35 on Thermax Edge Live Platform Digitalization of process data for P66 & P40 sets was already carried out in 2024 using Thermax Edge live platform. Many use cases out of this platform of machine learning benefitted us in process and reliability improvement. After commencement of RE power and subsequent stoppage of P40 a need was felt to implement the same in P35 also. P35 data is successfully synced in July-2026 on Edge live.
BUSINESS UPDATES Milestones, achievements, and operational highlights from our businesses POWER PLANT Inhouse Development of Safety training dashboard for Kota Complex To track and monitor the various safety trainings being conducted across the Kota complex, a need was felt to develop a dashboard. With a strong focus on digitalization and continuous improvement, Mr. Ankit Sharma of Power Plant in close coordination with CDC think tank internally designed and developed an interactive dashboard that enables real-time monitoring of safety training progress. The dashboard provides comprehensive insights into training completion status, department- wise compliance, pending nominations, and key performance indicators, empowering management to make timely, data-driven decisions. This has significantly reduced manual reporting efforts, improved data accuracy, enhanced transparency, and strengthened the overall effectiveness of our safety training management system. The project is an excellent example of leveraging in-house talent and digital tools to improve operational excellence without additional software development costs.
BUSINESS UPDATES Milestones, achievements, and operational highlights from our businesses POWER PLANT To utilize treated effluent water and reduce fresh canal water consumption, pipeline has been laid from the Cement Corner to the Admin Block canal water header. With the implementation of this scheme, effluent water from the Power Plant(ZLD Plant Inlet) is now being supplied for gardening activities at the Admin Block and Guest House. Replacing the use of fresh canal water. We are expecting to achieve a fresh canal water saving of approximately 100 KLD. Expected Saving in Canal water and ZLD Treatment Cost: ₹12.60 Lakhs/year Water Saving Initiative: Effective Utilisation of Power Plant Effluent Water Safety Initiative: Platform for coverning ash dumpers Permanent platform provided at ash silo area to safely cover the ash bulkers properly before dispatch to enhance safety and eliminate fugitive dust emission during transport.

Kaul Sir and Mr. Vinoo Mehta Sir, the newly refurbished Recreation Centre was ceremoniously unveiled. The renovated facility is intended to serve as a venue for seminars and conferences for both employees and guests.
BUSINESS UPDATES Milestones, achievements, and operational highlights from our businesses CIVIL (F&P) SAFETY MODERNIZATION INITIATIVE – JLG Boom Lift (185 ft) : As part of a strategic safety modernization initiative, a JLG boom lift with an operational altitude of 185 ft has been deployed at the P35 bunker – Power plant, reflecting the organization's continued commitment to elevated safety. AMMONIA COMPRESSOR HOUSE WATERPROOFING : A modern, membrane-based technique — was applied at the Compressor House within the Ammonia Plant. This method is widely recognized for its effectiveness in protecting industrial structures, roofs, and process areas from water ingress and moisture- related deterioration. DMC FLOORING LINK ROAD : DMC road flooring work was carried out exclusively along the stretch from the GAIL office to the link road corner opposite the cement plant, in order to prevent further deterioration of the road
BUSINESS UPDATES Milestones, achievements, and operational highlights from our businesses CIVIL (F&P) NEW AREA DEVELOPED NEAR MATERIAL GATE : A new area has been developed near the Material Gate. Also , dedicated cable trench has been constructed for 11 KV Cables. In order to arrest leakage coffer dam has been constructed with the following sequence of works was carried out: preparation of the surface with plain cement concrete, raking of wall joints, pointing of the walls, and plastering with chemical admixtures. This was followed by construction of a bund wall using gunny bags, with the resulting void between the wall and the bags filled with soil. HARVESTING POND - POWER PLANT

Key activities include: beam strengthening using carbon fibre wrapping, column size enhancement, and micro-concrete jacketing., VENDOR COORDINATION MEETING – REINFORCING SAFETY & QUALITY ON CIVIL WORKS A vendor review meeting was organized in Training centre led by Mr. Debashis Banerjee and Mr. Sanjay Jain to strengthen safety compliance and quality control of the civil works. The meeting focused on ensuring strict adherence to safety norms
Cement Lagoon holding the sludge, ESP dust and other process residue that had built up over years of continuous operations. Spread across ~15 acres, it was one of those long-standing items on the to-do list that everyone knew about. That has now changed. The lagoons have now successfully been emptied out. The successful transformation of the 15-acre lagoon reflects the power of strategic planning, disciplined execution and continuous monitoring. Mr. Vinoo Mehta, Executive Director & Resident Head, guided the team with his long-term vision in reclaiming this land and set the initiative in motion. The reclaimed land has been levelled and dressed and what was once a storage area is now clean and land is now ready for future use. Mr. Akhilesh Sharma, Mr. Kuldeep Singh Hada and Mr. Avinash Pankaj from Sludge Sales Team drove this project through to completion and their sustained effort played key role in success. This reflects Oganisation’s Values : I ACT ON. The completion of the Cement Lagoon reclamation project is a genuine milestone both for what has been achieved and for the teamwork behind it. SAFETY & SUSTAINABILITY Safety Excellence Across DCM Shriram Kota Complex Major Safety, IMS & Safety Transformation Activities | June – July 2026 The Safety Department continued to strengthen the organization's commitment to operational excellence through a series of safety audits, emergency preparedness initiatives, competency development programs, IMS assessments, and Safety Transformation activities during June–July 2026. Safety Audits & Inspections The Safety Department conducted focused safety audits and inspections across critical operating areas to identify potential hazards and enhance workplace safety: · 04 June 2026: CO₂ Unloading Area – Ammonia Plant · 05 June 2026: CPS Area – Carbide Plant · 10 June 2026: CETP & HRSCC Areas · 18 June 2026: Winch Machine – Ammonia Plant The safety audits and inspections emphasized proactive hazard identification, compliance verification, and timely implementation of corrective actions. IMS Internal Audit Successfully Completed An Integrated Management System (IMS) Internal Audit was conducted from 15–19 June 2026, covering 23 locations across the Kota Complex, COBA Area, Plastic Marketing, Cement, Fertilisers, and CAG offices at New Delhi and Gurgaon. The audit assessed compliance with IMS requirements and identified opportunities for continual improvement before the surveillance audit. Emergency Preparedness Through Mock Drills To strengthen emergency response capabilities, two major mock drills were successfully conducted. Fertilisers – Urea Plant (20 June 2026) A mock drill simulated an ammonia leakage from the flange joint of the ORC make-up line. Around 148 employees and contractor workmen from Ammonia, Urea and nearby plants participated in the emergency response. The leak was effectively controlled by 12:02 hrs, following which the all-clear siren was sounded and the emergency was declared over.
SAFETY & SUSTAINABILITY Chlor Alkali Group (26 June 2026) A major emergency mock drill was conducted based on a scenario involving heavy chlorine leakage from a filled chlorine tonner valve body. During the exercise, 307 personnel were present in the plant, including 42 company employees and 265 contractor employees. DSS+ Safety Transformation Journey As part of the ongoing DSS+ Safety Transformation Journey, Mr. Chinmoy Roy visited the Kota Complex from 13–17 July 2026 to review the progress of various safety transformation initiatives. The week-long programme included: · Review of Incident Investigation Think Tank activities and reporting strategy. · Finalization of the Annual Safety Improvement Plan (ASP) and Safety KPIs. · Review of Training Need Identification (TNI) process. · Progress review of Plant Improvement Teams (PITs). · Safety Inspection (SI) Think Tank discussions on digitalization. · Safe Work Permit (SRP) Think Tank review and development of permit audit checklists. · Meetings with Think Tank Chairpersons to finalize Annual Safety Plans. · Review of work permits from various plants and identification of opportunities for operational discipline improvements. · Discussion on recent incident investigations and lessons learned. SAFETY & SUSTAINABILITY The DSS+ Safety Transformation programme continued to strengthen safety governance and process safety capability across the Kota Complex. During 22–24 July 2026, Mr. Ashwini Pasricha and Ms. Pallavi conducted a series of workshops and review meetings focusing on Process Safety Management (PSM). Key activities included a PSI (Process Safety Information) training workshop for pilot sub-processes, finalization of the draft PSI procedure, Bow Tie and PACA reviews for all five BHM scenarios with KPI finalization, PSM Incident Classification & Reporting workshop involving the Incident Investigation and PSM Think Tanks, and an overall project planning review with project leaders. The programme reinforced standardized PSM practices, enhanced workforce capability, and accelerated implementation of the DSS+ Safety Transformation roadmap across all Plant manufacturing units.
BUSINESS UPDATES Milestones, achievements, and operational highlights from our businesses COBA Corporate Social Responsibility Bridging Learning with Social Impact: CSR Orientation for GET’s Batch- 2026 As part of the induction programme for the 2026 Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Batch, comprising 50 newly joined employees, DCM Shriram Limited, Kota, organized a two-day CSR orientation to provide the trainees with first-hand exposure to the Company's community development initiatives. The trainees visited villages and project sites across various CSR thematic areas to gain practical insights into the implementation and impact of community development initiatives. The visits were facilitated by NGO partners, MAMTA and N.M.Sadguru Foundation, enabling participants to interact with beneficiaries and understand the transformative outcomes of these initiatives at the grassroots level. Following the field visits, a CSR orientation session was conducted at the Shriram Training Centre (STC), highlighting DCM Shriram's CSR philosophy, key focus areas, flagship programmes, and commitment to sustainable community development. The programme concluded with a visit to Abheda Biological Park, where the Company is undertaking various interventions aimed at supporting environmental conservation and the holistic development of the park ecosystem.
BUSINESS UPDATES CHEMICALS MILESTONES, ACHIEVEMENTS, AND OPERATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR BUSINESSES Alarm Management – Kota CAG At DCM Shriram Chemicals, Kota CAG, a structured Alarm Management Program has been implemented to improve operator response, reduce alarm flooding, and enhance process safety. The initiative included alarm rationalization, removal of nuisance and duplicate alarms, optimization of alarm priorities, and implementation of alarm KPIs in line with industry best practices. As a result, the average daily alarms were significantly reduced from approximately 12,000 alarms/day to around 2,000 alarms/day, improving operator effectiveness and process reliability. The long-term objective is to achieve less than 300 alarms per day through continuous monitoring, periodic alarm reviews, and effective Management of Change (MOC), thereby strengthening operational discipline and overall plant safety.
BUSINESS UPDATES CHEMICALS MILESTONES, ACHIEVEMENTS, AND OPERATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR BUSINESSES ACHIEVING ZERO Cl₂ INVENTORY – A PROCESS SAFETY MILESTONE To enhance process safety and reduce the consequences of a potential chlorine release,modified its operating philosophy by eliminating routine bulk liquid chlorine storage. Liquid chlorine is now directly transferred from the liquefier to the Stable Bleaching Powder (SBP) plant and chlorine bottling through a dedicated transfer system. The modification was implemented through a comprehensive Management of Change (MOC) process, including HAZOP, risk assessment, SOP revision, operator training, and performance validation. This initiative has significantly reduced chlorine inventory, minimized Major Accident Hazard potential, and strengthened operational safety and reliability.

Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Hon'ble Union Minister of Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports inaugurated 7 ESIC projects worth over ₹668 crore across 6 States on 14th July 2026, Tuesday virtually from Sanath Nagar, Hyderabad, Telangana, in the august presence of Dr.G.Vivek Venkataswamy, Hon’ble Minister for Labour, Employment Training & Factories, Mines & Geology, Government of Telangana & Shri Ashok Kumar Singh, Director General, ESIC marking another milestone in strengthening ESIC's healthcare services. A major step towards building a stronger social security and healthcare ecosystem for India's workforce. Guided by the vision of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to build a robust, inclusive and accessible healthcare system, ESIC is expanding its footprint across the country.These inaugurations mark a significant step forward in expanding healthcare infrastructure and reinforcing social security for India's workforce, embodying the Government's vision of Shramev Jayate by placing the dignity, health and welfare of the workforce at the heart of national progress. Highlighting the Government's efforts towards strengthening social security, Dr. Mandaviya said that the number of ESIC beneficiaries has increased from around 7.5 crore a decade ago to over 15 crore at present. Referring to the International Labour Organization (ILO) estimates, he informed that social security coverage in India has expanded from 19 per cent in 2014 to over 64 per cent today, encompassing 94 crore people. Speaking about labour reforms, the Union Minister said that the four Labour Codes have replaced 29 existing labour laws, paving the way for a simplified and worker-centric labour framework. He highlighted provisions such as annual free health check-ups for workers above 40 years of age. Emphasizing the importance of harmonious industrial relations, Dr. Mandaviya called upon employers and employees to work together towards building a developed and prosperous India. He expressed confidence that the facility would strengthen healthcare services for workers and reaffirmed the Government's commitment to their welfare. At the end of the programme ESIC Commissioner Mr.Ramji Lal Meena, Regional Director(Incharge),North Region,India & Dr.Ravi Sharma (ESIC) , honoured the construction workers who contributed to the development of the ESIC Dispensary & Branch Office,Udyog Nagar, Kota,Rajasthan recognizing their role in nation-building. Milestones, achievements, and operational highlights from our businesses ACO CLMS Payguru Software 2.0 ACO has successfully implemented department/plant reports of CLMS Payguru Software 2.0 (Go Live) where all the punches of contractual labour captured from face reader machines of department/plant punching locations. These face reader machines were online for department/plant reports for manpower based billing. Face reader machines of main gate are now used only for capturing punches for contractual labour who are entering in plant premises. All face reader machines were equipped with Check In/Check Out option for contractual labour. Safety Training for Contractual Labour @ ACO ACO has organized a regular safety training for contractual labour after making gate passes for contractual labour. This training mainly focused on understanding different types of PPE’s kit mainly eye protection safety goggles, safety crush helmet, full body harness for height work, face mask for respiratory protection, horizontal roof lifeline system, safety shoes, safety gloves for fabrication work, safety ear muff & preventive action to workplace safety. This reinforced the importance of safety practices at the workplace. Safety photos are also displayed on ACO notice board for contractual labour.
HR HIGHLIGHTS POSH TRAINING SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED FOR WORKERS A department-wise POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) training program was conducted by Mr. Rahul Choudhary (HR) from 23rd to 31st July 2026 on all working days. The sessions were organized as per the departmental schedule and covered employees from the Power Plant, Fertiliser, Electrical & Instrument, CAG, and PVC Departments. The training aimed to create awareness about maintaining a respectful and inclusive workplace, appropriate workplace behavior, and the key provisions of the organization's POSH Policy. A total of 135 workers attended the sessions and actively participated, reflecting their commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment. HR HIGHLIGHTS GET Incubation Centre 2026 Launched at Kota Complex Reinforcing its commitment to nurturing future talent, Kota Complex has launched the GET Incubation Centre 2026 on 1st July’26, a dedicated platform designed to accelerate the development of newly inducted Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs). The programme brings together 51 young engineers from diverse disciplines and provides them with a unique blend of classroom learning, plant exposure, leadership interactions, and hands-on industrial experience. Through structured visits to key manufacturing units such as Carbide, PVC, Fertilizer, Cement, Power Plant, Caustic, Polytek, Fenesta, and Ag Smart, the trainees gain practical insights into operations, safety, maintenance, and business excellence. A distinctive feature of the programme is its emphasis on experiential learning. GETs work in teams, study plant processes, and present their learnings before plant leaders and subject matter experts, fostering analytical thinking, collaboration, and innovation. The GET Incubation Centre reflects DCM Shriram's vision of building a strong pipeline of future leaders by transforming young engineers into competent, confident, and purpose-driven professionals ready to contribute to the Company's growth journey.
