Partners Club Scavenger Hunt: Your Practice Mastered: Marriott Las Colinas Scavenger Hunt Corporate Team Building Experience | 45–60 Minutes | Team Competition Theme: “Action Kills Fear: Master the Mission” Designed for Your Practice Mastered (YPM), this scavenger hunt turns the company's terminology, core values, performance metrics, and leadership roles into a fast-paced team challenge at the Las Colinas Marriott. The objective is to get participants moving, collaborating, thinking like practice owners, and demonstrating that they understand the systems and culture behind a successful law firm.
1. The mission Your team has 60 minutes to master the practice. Your firm is ready to grow, but success depends on more than generating leads. You must build the right culture, improve your numbers, master your systems, and get the right people executing the right tasks. Teams must solve clues, complete challenges, identify key YPM terminology, and earn points at each checkpoint. The ultimate goal: Unlock the formula for a more efficient, effective, sales-driven, client-focused practice. 2. How to play • Divide participants into teams of 6-10. • Give each team a scavenger hunt worksheet and a phone for photos. • Teams visit designated public areas of the hotel to complete missions. • Each completed mission earns points. Bonus points reward teamwork, speed, and correct answers. • Teams must remain in public areas and avoid disrupting hotel guests or events. • The highest-scoring team wins the title of YPM Practice Masters. 3. Scavenger hunt checkpoints Each clue sends teams to a hotel location or gives them a challenge to complete there. The locations below are suggested checkpoints; the event organizer should confirm access and choose the actual meeting-space layout before the event.
Checkpoint 1: The Visionary 10 points Suggested location: Lobby or welcome area Clue: “Every great firm starts with a picture of what could be. One person sees the destination, while another makes the journey happen. Find the role that sees the future.” Mission: Identify the Visionary, Integrator, and Implementor. Explain how their responsibilities differ. Bonus: Name one task that belongs to each role.
Checkpoint 2: FLOW State 10 points Suggested location: Meeting room entrance Clue: “When work feels chaotic, don't simply work harder. Find the management and implementation system that helps your workflow become more efficient and effective.” Mission: What does FLOW stand for in YPM's terminology, and what is its purpose? Photo challenge: Create a human assembly line demonstrating an inefficient workflow, then rearrange yourselves into a more efficient one.
Checkpoint 3: Action Kills Fear 15 points Suggested location: Lounge or open seating area Clue: “Fear can keep a good idea on the sidelines. At YPM, the cure isn't waiting until you're ready. It's taking the first step.” Mission: As a team, name a common fear in growing a law firm and one immediate action that could overcome it. Bonus: Deliver a 15-second team chant incorporating “Action Kills Fear.”
Checkpoint 4: The Perfect Client Life Cycle 15 points Suggested location: Meeting foyer Clue: “A lead is only the beginning. A successful practice knows how to turn interest into an appointment, an appointment into a client, and a client into a relationship that lasts.” Mission: Arrange these performance metrics into a logical client journey: • Set Rate • Show Rate • Hire Rate • Collection Rate • Referral Rate Bonus: Explain why a firm with lots of leads can still struggle to grow.
Checkpoint 5: The Numbers Don't Lie 15 points Suggested location: Business center or designated team table Clue: “Sales look impressive on paper, but what matters is what you actually collect. Find the metric that tells the real story.” Mission: A firm generates $100,000 in gross sales and collects $80,000. Calculate its Collection Rate. Bonus: If 40 leads produce 20 appointments, what is the Set Rate?
Checkpoint 6: Own the Process 10 points Suggested location: Registration area or meeting room entrance Clue: “A great plan without ownership is just a list of good intentions. Find the people who keep planning, meetings, and implementation moving.” Mission: Identify the Process Owner, Process Leader, and Integrator. Explain how they help a team execute. Bonus: Give one example of a task that needs a clearly assigned owner.
Checkpoint 7: The YPM Dictionary Dash 15 points Suggested location: Networking area Clue: “Successful teams speak the same language. Decode the abbreviations that connect the YPM community.” Mission: Correctly match as many terms as possible: • EA Nation • EAY • PC • PIP Groups • MPS • TCR • TIR • TSR Bonus: Name the founder of Your Practice Mastered and the founder of The Closing Room. Checkpoint 8: Faith, Culture & Community 10 points Suggested location: Accessible outdoor terrace, weather permitting, or indoor lounge Clue: “A strong business is built on more than numbers. Faith, shared values, and community help people move forward together.” Mission: Explain the meaning behind “Faith Kills Fear” and identify the purpose of Bible and Your Business.
Bonus: Create a team photo representing YPM's culture of support, faith, and collaboration. Participation in the faith-related discussion should be voluntary. The final challenge: Master the Practice The YPM Growth Formula 20 bonus points · 5–10 minutes Teams return to the designated finish area and have five minutes to develop a 60-second presentation answering: “How would you help a law firm become more sales-driven, client-focused, and efficient?” Their presentation must include: • One YPM core value. • One performance metric to improve. • One system or process to implement. • One staff role responsible for execution. • One action the firm can take immediately. The presentation should connect all five elements into one practical plan. The most actionable and collaborative answer earns the bonus points.

7. Suggested event schedule 0:00–0:05 Welcome & team assignments Explain rules, safety, scoring, and the mission. 0:05–0:35 Scavenger hunt Complete the eight checkpoints and collect points. 0:35–0:45 Final Growth Formula Teams build and present their YPM practice improvement plan. 0:45–0:55 Score tally & recognition Review answers, award bonus points, and announce winners. 0:55–1:00 Closing message Celebrate teamwork and reinforce Action Kills Fear. My recommendation: Make this a competition between teams named after YPM concepts—for example, Team FLOW, Team Action Kills Fear, Team Perfect Client Life Cycle, and Team Partners Club. Use a small prize for the winning team and a bonus award for the team with the most creative final presentation. This approach reinforces YPM terminology through active participation rather than a traditional training session, while keeping the activities appropriate for a professional hotel environment.
