ORDER OF SERVICE PRAYER SCRIPTURE READING SELECTION REFLECTIONS ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS SELECTION WORD OF COMFORT SELECTION COMMITAL BENEDICATION The Seed - Where Her Story Began Brenda Faye Lowary was born on November 4, 1976, in Hollywood, Florida, to the late Alma Jean Johnson (Seales), who preceded her in eternal rest on November 24, 2012. She was one of five children and shared a unique bond with each of her siblings—a bond rooted in love, resilience, and family. Around the age of five, Brenda and her siblings relocated from Hollywood, Florida, to Eau Gallie, Florida, where they were lovingly nurtured by their grandmother, Ada Seales. It was there that many of the values that would define her life were first planted: faith, perseverance, compassion, and an unwavering determination to overcome every obstacle placed before her. Even as a child, Brenda possessed a remarkable sense of purpose. She rarely questioned where she was going because she already believed God had placed something special inside of her. She simply kept moving forward, trusting that every season was preparing her for the life He had designed. Taking Root - Growing in Faith and Purpose While living in Eau Gallie, Brenda attended Creel Elementary School, where she flourished academically and became known for her confidence, resilience, and ability to build meaningful friendships. In 1988, Brenda and two of her sisters returned to South Florida to live with their mother. She attended Attucks Middle School and later South Broward High School, where she actively participated in school organizations and activities that helped shape her vision for serving others. Although she could not have known exactly where life would lead her, God was already cultivating the gifts that would one day become her life's calling. That calling was never about recognition. It was always about people. A Life in Full Bloom Brenda believed every setback was simply another opportunity for God to reveal His greater purpose. She never allowed hardship to harden her heart or diminish her faith. Instead, every challenge became another testimony she could use to encourage someone else. Her faith wasn't something she practiced only on Sundays—it guided every decision she made, every conversation she had, and every hand she extended to help someone in need. In November 2021, Brenda fulfilled another lifelong dream by becoming a published author. Her inspirational book, Driven to Succeed, became more than a book—it became an extension of her testimony. Its pages encouraged readers to remain steadfast through life's trials, reminding them that although life may knock them off course, faith, determination, and God's guidance will always lead them home. Those words were not merely written. They were lived.
The Garden She Grew Some people leave behind accomplishments. Brenda left behind people whose lives would never be the same because they encountered her. As the founder of Kings in Disguise, INC., she poured herself into mentoring young people, believing every child deserved someone who believed in them. She saw potential where others saw problems. She saw purpose where others saw pain. She constantly reminded young people that they were created with value, purpose, and God-given greatness. Her love reached far beyond mentorship. She quietly distributed food during the holidays. She found gas cards for struggling single mothers. She secured beds for children who had none. She connected families with resources. She prayed with strangers. She encouraged the discouraged. She gave without expecting anything in return. Helping others was never simply something Brenda did. It was the fruit of a life deeply rooted in Christ The Harvest - The Legacy She Leaves Behind Brenda's greatest accomplishments were never measured by awards or titles. They were measured by transformed lives. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her beloved daughter, Chanell Sands; her devoted son, Jarell Sands; her dedicated son in love, Steven III; her treasured grandchildren, Steven IV and Sevyn; her brother, Willie Seales; her cherished sisters, Tammie "Tee" Seales, Kimberly Cunningham, and Belinda Lowary; her Spiritual Mother, Dr. Valmarie Rhoden; her beloved spiritual family, Sandra, Bernice, and Nicki; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were forever changed by knowing her. Her legacy continues to flourish through every child she encouraged, every family she strengthened, every prayer she offered, and every act of kindness inspired by her example. The seeds she planted will continue to bloom for generations. Blooming in Eternity Although Brenda's earthly season has come to an end, the garden she cultivated continues to flourish. Her faith became the roots that anchored her. Her love became the blossoms that brightened countless lives. Her service became the fruit that nourished an entire community. Today, we do not say goodbye without hope. We celebrate a faithful servant who has been welcomed into the presence of her Savior. The One who planted her purpose on earth has now called her home to bloom in eternity.
UNTIL WE BLOOM AGAIN... Some flowers bloom for a season. Others leave seeds that blossom for generations. Thank you, Brenda, for planting love, faith, hope, and kindness wherever you went. Until we bloom together again, your garden will continue to flourish in our hearts. The Seeds She Left Behind Choose faith over fear. Serve without expecting recognition. Every child deserves someone who believes in them. Be the answer to someone's prayer. Trust God's timing in every season. Leave every place better than you found it. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age; they will stay fresh and green."
