EXECUTIVE SUMMARYNemesistas is a proposed voluntary leadership, sisterhood, and community service club affiliated with Nemesis Softball. The club will connect players across teams and age divisions through mentorship, social activities, service, education, and opportunities for leadership. Alumni will be invited to remain involved as mentors, volunteers, and community supporters. The club’s purpose is not to replace team operations or create a mandatory program. It is to strengthen relationships among girls and families, celebrate players beyond their athletic accomplishments, and extend the benefits of softball into their lives and communities. 4

FOUNDING STORY I grew up playing softball for nemesis. Some of the girls I shared the field with became lifelong friends. We were more than teammates. We were sisters. I still call them my Nemesistas. About 20 years ago, I began imagining a way to bring that same sense of sisterhood to future generations of nemesis players. I want girls from different teams and age groups to no one another, support one another, and recognize that they belong to something bigger than their individual teams. One of my earliest ideas was organizing. Product drives. I want girls to understand that sisterhood is not just about supporting their own teammates. It is about showing up for other girls and women, even though they have never met. My softball journey begin in Downey ponytail league, where I played on All-Star teams, and continued with Nemesis. I hope to connect those experiences by creating opportunities for current players younger athletes, and alumni to support one another. We didn’t stop being Nemesistas when we stopped playing softball 5

FOUNDING STORY I want future generations of nemesis players to support one another in this dance, celebrate each other’s achievements, find their voices, develop leadership, skills, and recognized the difference they can make in their communities. I want them to know they are valued for more than their athletic abilities. Nemesistas is an opportunity to turn decades of connection into a lasting tradition of sisterhood, service, and opportunity. Because the strongest thing we can build together isn’t just a winning team. It’s a sisterhood that lasts. strong girls. Strong bonds. More than teammates. We’re Nemesistas.
