Hello everyone, We continued learning about wild animals! We explored animals that are similar but not the same. These included the hedgehog and porcupine, hippopotamus and rhinoceros, chimpanzee and monkey, and crocodile and alligator. We looked at how similar they look and move. We practised saying, "A crocodile has a long, pointed mouth and sharp teeth." and, "An alligator has a short, round mouth and fewer prickles on its back." We sang "Five Little Monkeys" and "Jungle." We also read A Walk Through the Zoo and How to Be a Happy Hippo. For Practical Life, we worked with the "Box with a Sliding Lid" and practised sewing. We also worked on language development using picture cards. For art and craft, we used coloured paper to make a lion and a tiger while learning about the differences between these two animals.
