Which Medical plan should I choose for my family? • Each family is different and we can’t make this decision for you. But there are resources available to help you decide. • If you have questions regarding the plans, you have several resources available to you: • The Benefits Guidebook has information on each of our plans, HSA and FSA limits and more. • Health Advocate can assist with this decision: 866-695-8622 or healthadvocate.com/Newrez HRA (GLP-1 Medications) 11. What is an HRA? • HRA stands for Health Reimbursement Arrangement • It is a Newrez-funded account that reimburses you for certain expenses • Only eligible GLP-1 injectable weight-loss medications and required medication supplies will be reimbursed for eligible employees and covered family members 12. What is changing with GLP-1 medications for weight loss in 2027? • GLP-medications prescribed for weight loss will no longer be covered under the Newrez prescription plans. • Employees impacted by this may be eligible to file for reimbursement through the HRA program. • There is no change to GLP-1 coverage when prescribed for employees diagnosed with and being treated for diabetes. 13. Why did Newrez make this change? • GLP-1 medications that are prescribed and filled through our group medical and prescription plans are treated similar to other product inventories, with costs added at each step of the supply chain process • Individual consumers usually have access to lower prices, often more than $1,000/month lower than what is charged through a group health plan • Continuing to offer the medication through our group medical and prescription plans would mean a substantial increase in premiums for all employees • This arrangement allows employees to continue to access these medications while preserving the lowest possible payroll deductions
14. What if I am diabetic? • Individuals on a Newrez medical plan can continue using their medical and prescription plans to obtain treatment for diabetes, including GLP-1 injectable medications • This allows for GLP-1 medications to be combined with other diabetic treatments and monitored by the same prescribing physician 15. Who can participate? • Employees enrolled in a Newrez medical plan • Eligible spouses or domestic partners enrolled in a Newrez medical plan • Eligible dependent children age 12 and older enrolled in a Newrez medical plan 16. Which medications are covered? • Wegovy • Zepbound • Other eligible GLP-1 injectable medications, including eligible compounded injectable medications 17. What medications aren’t covered? • GLP-1 oral medications (pills) • Expenses not related to eligible GLP-1 injectable medication or required prescribed medication supplies 18. How Much Can I Receive? • Up to $150 per eligible enrolled individual, per month • Each eligible covered family member has their own reimbursement amount • Reimbursement is per-person, per month; “leftover” amounts cannot be shared or deferred to future months • Reimbursement is limited to one eligible GLP-1 injectable prescription per month per covered individual 19. What do I need to do to participate? • Enroll in the GLP-1 HRA program in Workday during Open Enrollment • Fill your eligible GLP-1 injectable prescription • Pay for the medication • Save your receipt and supporting documentation • Submit a reimbursement claim through your myflexdollars.com account • Receive reimbursement once your claim is approved 20. When can I enroll? • When you first become eligible for a Newrez medical plan • During Open Enrollment • Following a qualifying life event, if applicable • Prior to starting new GLP-1 treatment for weight loss at any time of the year 21. What happens if I enroll and don’t use it? • Nothing. There is no penalty for enrolling and not submitting claims. However, your account may be closed if no claims are submitted for 3 consecutive months. • If your account is closed due to inactivity, it will become active again for medications purchased on or after the first of the month following reactivation. • You will only receive reimbursement if you submit an eligible claim. • Unused monthly reimbursement amounts do not carry forward.
• Eligible claims must be submitted by March 31 of the following year. • Claims not submitted by March 31 of the following year will not be eligible for reimbursement. • Claims submitted after account inactivation will not be eligible unless the account is reactivated. 22. Can I have an HSA or FSA and participate in the GLP-1 HRA? • You cannot use HSA or FSA dollars to pay for GLP-1 medications that you will submit for reimbursement • You CAN use HSA or FSA dollars to pay for amounts that exceed the $150 per month reimbursement or for medications that you do not obtain reimbursement for through the HRA program. 23. What if my spouse, domestic partner or dependent takes a GLP-1 medication but I do not? • In the open enrollment selection tile in Workday, select the HRA coverage and specify which dependent(s) will use the program. • Only dependent(s) enrolled in the program in Workday will be able to submit for reimbursement. • Eligible covered family members may receive reimbursement if all program eligibility requirements are met. 24. Do I need prior authorization to participate in the reimbursement program? • No. There are no additional clinical requirements, coaching requirements, participation requirements, or attestations required for reimbursement eligibility. 25. What if leave the company and return? • Employees rehired within 31 days may have coverage automatically reinstated. • Employees rehired after 31 days must re-enroll. You cannot submit for reimbursement during the time you were not employed with Newrez. 26. What happens if I leave Newrez? • HRA eligibility ends when your employment ends. • The GLP-1 HRA is not COBRA-eligible. Flexible Spending Accounts 27. Who will be our Healthcare FSA and Dependent Care FSA vendors for 2027? • Flexible Spending Accounts will remain with Baker Tilly for 2027. Please remember that your FSA accounts must be elected annually during open enrollment. What happens if I miss the open enrollment window to elect my FSA amount? • You will not be able to elect FSA until the next open enrollment period unless you have a life change event. • If you wish to participate in a flexible spending account in 2027 you must update the annual amount during your open enrollment window. • Once the enrollment window closes, no changes can be made after open enrollment unless you experience a qualifying life event. 29. What is the maximum amount that I can contribute to my Healthcare FSA in 2027?
• Flexible Spending Accounts are a terrific way to set aside pre-tax dollars for your eligible health care needs. In 2027, you may elect to set aside $3,300 in pre-tax dollars to your healthcare flexible spending account during the annual open enrollment window. • Please take the time to research your options, as you will forfeit any remaining balance left in flexible spending accounts if you do not spend the funds by December 31st of each plan year. You do not have to enroll in a Newrez medical plan to enroll in the Healthcare FSA. 30. What is the maximum amount that I can contribute to a Dependent Care Flexible Spending account in 2027? • Dependent Care FSA is a terrific way to set aside pre-tax dollars for your eligible childcare needs. In 2027, you may elect to set aside $7,500 pre-tax dollars for qualified dependent care expenses. • Remember, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA) are only used to pay for daycare-related expenses for dependent children under the age of thirteen, elderly care, or to care for a disabled relative with pre-tax dollars, up to $7,500 annually, depending on your tax filing status (single, married, head of household). • You do not have to enroll in a medical plan to elect DCFSA. • Please note that the funds used under DCFSA reduce the amount of tax write-off for dependent care at the time of your annual tax filing. • Just like Healthcare FSA, you forfeit any unused balance in this account if not spent by December 31 of the benefit year. More information on DCFSA is available in the Benefits Guide. • Please make sure you have eligible dependent care expenses prior to electing coverage. • As part of IRS regulations, our FSA plan undergoes non-discrimination testing. This ensures fairness among all employee levels. Should the testing reveal any issues, we may need to make mid-year adjustments to your total contributions. You will be notified of any changes before they happen. 31. Will I receive a debit card for the new accounts? • Yes, if you elect to participate in a Flexible Spending account for 2027 but did not participate in 2026 you will receive a debit card prior to January 1st. Newrez will contribute up to $1,000 for an individual and $1,250 for a family towards the annual limit. By contributing to an HSA, you do not need to take additional action to receive Newrez’s contribution to your account. • The annual catch-up contribution for those ages 55+ remains unchanged at $1,000. Remember you can make changes to your HSA contributions throughout the year. 34. Do I need to contribute to my HSA to receive employer contributions? • No, you can elect the employer contribution only by electing the benefit and entering 0 for employee contributions. • Note: Newrez’s contribution will not rollover, you must re-elect it for 2027.
• If you are not eligible to participate in an HSA, please select “Waive.” • If you select this option, you will not have an HSA account open for you, and you will not receive the employer contributions. For example, if you are enrolled in Medicare Part A and/or B, you can no longer contribute pre-tax dollars to your HSA. However, you may still use your current balance to pay for qualified HSA expenses. Life Insurance & Disability Benefits 35. 15 Additional Common Questions 50. My dependent is turning twenty-six during the 2027 plan year. What should I do to remove them from coverage? • Your dependent will automatically be dropped from coverage at the end of the month in which they turn twenty-six. A packet from Baker Tilly for COBRA will be mailed to your home address. If this is the only dependent you are covering, you will automatically move to Employee Only coverage. If your dependent child was diagnosed as disabled before age 25, they can remain on coverage. You will need to provide documentation about the disability to be approved by the insurance carriers. 51. How do I update my address with the benefit carriers? • To review and/or update your address, make the change in Workday, not directly with the carriers. From the home screen – select Contact – then Edit and Submit your change. Once your address has been updated in Workday, the change will be sent to the benefit carriers. 52. How does the PTO Buy Up work? • Full-time employees with at least 6 months of service by 12/31/26 can purchase between 2-5 additional PTO days. The cost will be divided into 26 payrolls. All other PTO and Floating holidays must be used before your purchased PTO can be taken. These days will not rollover to the next year, they must be used in the year they were purchased. Employees will be reimbursed any unused amounts at the end of the year. 53. How does the PTO Buy-Up deduction appear on my paystub? • The PTO Buy-Up cost is deducted evenly across 26 pay periods and will appear as a recurring deduction on each paystub. For exempt employees, the calculation is: (Annual Salary / 2080) × (Days Purchased × 8 hours) / 26 pay periods Example: If your annual salary is $75,000 and you purchase 2 days: ($75,000 / 2080) × (2 × 8) = 288.46 annually 288.46 / 26 = $22.19 per paycheck For hourly employees, replace the ($75,000/2080) with your hourly rate. 54. How and when will unused PTO Buy-Up be refunded? • If you remain employed through the end of the plan year, any unused PTO Buy-Up will be refunded on your final paycheck of the year. If you leave the company before year-end: o Unused PTO Buy-Up will be refunded on your final paycheck. o Used PTO Buy-Up will be deducted from your final paycheck if you’ve used more than you accrued. 55. How does the new PTO Buy-Up benefit work with earned PTO? • To use purchased PTO, you must first exhaust all earned PTO. o You must have a zero earned PTO balance at the time of the request. o Once approved, the purchased PTO can be scheduled for future use. Example: If you have 5 earned PTO days on January 1 and request those for March, your balance becomes zero. You can then request 5 purchased PTO days for a July vacation.
Any PTO accrued after the request is still available for use, but purchased PTO must be used only when no earned PTO is available. All requests are subject to manager approval and the PTO policy. 56. Are PTO Buy-Up days paid or unpaid when used? • PTO Buy-Up days are paid time off. When used, employees will be paid for those hours just like regular PTO.
