Dear Lily, Welcome to a very special edition of the Bigfoot Times, dedicated entirely to you. Across these pages are stories, memories, and messages from the people who love you most. A small collection of moments that, together, show what anyone lucky enough to know you already knows. That you are deeply loved, and more inspiring than you ever give yourself credit for. Since your last birthday, life has been anything but quiet. We got married. We had a mini-moon. We escaped to a spa. We took the cats camping in the van. Still one of the most beautifully chaotic things we have ever done. We’ve had a few van breakdowns, I don’t think you’ve had a weekend off for what feels like an entire year, and we have started making our house feel more and more like a home. And in the middle of all the busy days, the tired evenings, the weekend plans, the decorating, the work, the PhD experiments - you have still always managed to make time for us. From our morning cortados and New York Times wordsearches, the games of Monopoly Deal that definitely never become too competitive, watching our TV shows about dragons and incest, running up and down the alley with the cats, and for all the little rituals that make ordinary days feel like special. That is one of the many things I love about you. You make life feel full. Not just because of the big moments, but because of the small moments. So, this magazine is for you. A birthday edition full of memories, and pieces of evidence that you have made a bigger impact on people’s lives than climate change has had on the pH levels in our ocean... Happy 31st birthday to you! My wife, my best friend, my favourite person to do absolutely everything and absolutely nothing with. I love you more than I could ever fit into any of these pages HUSBAND | BARISTA | SEO PROFESSIONALMark Stokes-Packer FROM THE EDITORBigfoot Times 03

Insights into the most special day of my life! And a look into all the fun we had, and how amazing you looked throughout! Our wedding day was the most special day of my life, and by far my favourite memory with you. Look at how happy and beautiful you look! Awh! I still remember being so nervous in the morning that I could barely eat the almond croissant that you had thoughtfully got me for breakfast. I was then nearly late to my own wedding after Matt picked me up a little later than I expected. But he was quickly forgiven for getting to ride in his Tesla, complete with ribbons that felt very Shark Trust. It almost rained but somehow, in the way the best days do, it all became absolutely perfect. I married the most amazing woman I have ever met, officially joined a family full of lovely people, and you became part of my family too! Something that means the world to me, because they are such an important part of who I am. Bigfoot Times 07

Here are some photos from the start of our days, and insights into the bits that I didn’t get to see and some of the bits that you didn’t get to see! I have not included all of the running around you did that morning completing the last minute to-do list! It is mainly just lovely memories that you can treasure forever. The Aviator Hotel 08

You look like you had the most fun while getting ready for the big day - after the running around, of course! Prosseco, make-up and hair, and everyone helping you into your dress and Aime in every photo looking at you like she just discovered how beautiful the world can be when it’s full of lovely people and not just AI From making TikTok’s with Ella, to driving to M&S for flower petals and baskets. 09 Bigfoot Times The prettiest flowers

I couldn’t tie my bow tie, the YouTube videos made no sense at all. And I just wanted to be with you and not anyone else. This Almond Croissant is the only reason I did not faint or collapse before saying “I do” - or “I will”. The Stress That You Didn’t Need to SeeWoodlands Road 10

PRETENDING TO GET READY WHEN TOM ARRIVED TO TAKE PHOTOS BECAUSE IT ONLY TOOK US 10 MINUTES SO WE HAD ALREADY DONE IT... I say I was stressed, but the most stressful part was making Rusty Nails in the kitchen, trying not to make a mess anywhere in your parents house and then your Dad walking into the kitchen. We had to hide all the whisky and drambuie so quickly that it could be counted as a sport. 11 Woodlands Road

Choose your content partner carefully. Ideally, a sister who is just as committed to the bit as you are. Find good lighting. Ignore the fact that there is a wedding happening shortly. This is your moment. Take 47 selfies. Review every single one. Decide the first one was best. Attempt to film a TikTok with your Gen Z sister in the hotel while getting ready. Plan a BIG reveal! Fun bit to add to make it feel real to your followers. Mess up the shot. Laugh out loud. Start again. Repeat until someone asks if you are nearly ready. Post nothing, because you were too busy getting married and looking iconic. This was so clearly an extremely special moment for your Dad and you. From getting the perfect wedding cars, to being able to be with you and see you through the wedding day from the start to the end. Don’t tell Ella and Aime but I think you’re the favourite and he very clearly has so much love for you and so much pride! Next up is a very you moment! Getting bugs stuck in your veil a few minutes before you’re meant to be walking down the aisle. The bugs just wanted to share the special day with you because you are always saving them wherever you go.Bigfoot Times 13

And how could I forget the funniest photoshoot in the history of photoshoots! It was worth missing our desserts for! These are two of my favourite ones from the fields. I remember Tom telling us to be natural, be walking and talking to each other. And we were just chatting about random stuff and in my head I felt uncomfortable in front of the camera. But that all disappeared because you are so fun to be around and I love taking photos of you because they don’t feel posed, they are treasuring memories.19 Bigfoot Times

PHOTOGRAPHY BY LAURA STOKESFAVOURITE MEMORYBigfoot Times 21Laura & Warren This is our favourite memory of Lily. If ever we need a laugh we watch a video of this moment. It’s during Covid in the garden. We always remember Lily as a little girl with a bucket on her head , skipping from one end of the garden to the other in her element “ We love our Squiddie “

Lily, happy birthday to the dinosaur squid person, ocean acidification PhD extraordinaire. It's hard to pick a favourite memory because after five years of friendship and more than three years of living together, there are just too many to choose from. Loz confidently announced that we'd be friends when we met through work. She was right. Our first proper friend date was at a fireworks display, where you were telling me how fireworks looked like sparkly buttholes. Looking back, that was probably a pretty accurate preview of the friendship to come. 22 Years later, there have been countless Liverpool matches watched in pubs, late nights staying up for the Super Bowl (the first high af and burning your cookies), long drives home (big up the home counties massive) from Plymouth listening to podcasts, whether it was This Paranormal Life or the unnerving amount of true crime that you listen to, and the Halloween costumes - Napoleon Dynamite being a particular highlight. Alex CurdMY FAVOURITE MEMORIES

Bigfoot Times23 Probably one of the best things has been living together. Right from moving in together in 2022, the household gradually expanded to include the two demons Sassy, Yeti, and even a Mark. There were movie nights, trips to the Duchy, takeaway nights, cat chaos, and the odd festival and gig thrown in for good measure. One thing that stands out above everything else is how thoughtful you are and how much you care, even when it’s only losing my pineapple straw at Creamfields - you have such a big heart. You genuinely go out of your way for people and are always there when someone needs support.

Bigfoot Times24 Beyond all the fun memories, you've helped me through countless issues, decisions, work challenges and interview preparation, always there with a positive outlook even whilst you yourself have been juggling two jobs and dealing with your own stuff. Even with all that, you're one of the smartest, funniest and most colourful people I've ever met. Not everyone can pull off being a PhD ocean acidification expert, dinosaur enthusiast, animal lover and paranormal investigator-in- waiting all at the same time. Despite everything we've done, the thing I'll remember most isn't any single event. Most of my favourite memories are really the accumulation of hundreds of moments, and there are definitely hundreds more that I haven’t mentioned. Everyone should be lucky enough to have a friend like you. “You are an absolute inspiration and the greatest friend I could ask for”

The first sentence Lily ever said to me was that set the friendship off to a good start.Bigfoot Times 25Patrick Burke “That moustache makes you look like a pedo”

Happy Birthday to a Friend for Life. It all began at One Ocean's door, Two strangers then, but soon much more. Among the shifts and working days, A friendship bloomed in countless ways. We weathered boy drama, tears and chats, The highs, the lows, the this-and-thats. Until you found your Mark at last, And rat boy jokes became unsurpassed. While the Peege came along for me, And somehow life became meant to be. We've raised cocktail tree towers high, To friendship under summer skies. Watched friendship groups all intertwine, As your people became friends of mine. You welcomed me to Michael's reign, The tortoise king with little disdain, Along with Sassy and Yeti too, Your furry family I came to love through you. We've dressed as hippies, snakes and grannies, Poison Ivy causing mischief and scandals aplenty. Zeus himself would raise a glass, While Peter Pan's shadow and crocodile passed. We've roller skated by the sea, Taken freezing swims with reckless glee. Danced to Gentleman's Dub Club's sound, More times than either of us could count. Through countless festivals, mud and laughter, Sofi Tukker playing happily ever after. We chased the music, chased the sun, And somehow always found the fun.Bigfoot Times 26Lauren James a poem by

Your hen do brought another tale, A cider tasting, beyond the pale. You were a squid, majestic and bright, While I fished beside you through the night. And who could ever quite forget, A memory I cherish yet? That Queen tribute band we went to see One of my favourite nights, you'll agree. At Thorpe Park, while rides soared high, You wisely let the big ones fly by. Instead, with Patrick, you found your way, Creating memories all the same day. We've stood beside our friend Alex too, As groomswomen through and through. Shared theatre chills and nervous fright, Watching The Woman in Black one night. When thirty came knocking at my door, You gave me not one celebration, but more. Three birthday parties filled with delight, Including a murder mystery planned just right. We spun through our first Scottish ceilidh dance, Laughing through every mistaken chance. And wandered Yarlington's fields so green, Feeding donkeys and horses like a storybook scene. When I look back through all the years, The laughter outweighs the worries and tears. Through every chapter, near or far, You've remained exactly who you are. A wonderful friend, loyal and true, Life is simply brighter because of you. So here's to more adventures yet to start, More music, more costumes, more moments from the heart. Here's to Michael, Sassy and Yeti. To Mark, Patrick, and memories aplenty. To festivals, sea swims, and dancing whatever the weather, And most of all, to our cherished friendship forever. Happy Birthday. I wouldn't change a single moment of US!

Beating you are Lisbon Half marathon Getting high in Newcastle watching Doja cat Watermelon sugar high with Harry Getting really bad (but great) Wii remote tatts Holding your wedding dress as you poop moments before walking down the isle Picking you up from the floor as you fall backwards dressed as a lobster (I look forward to adding to this list)Bigfoot Times 31

A long time ago, on a ferry in the middle of the English Channel, two girls who had barely met before (only once I think?) greet each other. The vibe is friendly, polite, demure. 6 hours later, they are drunk, laughing, crying, one of them is dressed as a giant octopus. And they just saw a naked rugby team coach piss on the deck. How the fuck did we get there ? I guess having a cinema to yourself, a Mario movie, and delicious cocktails on hand might have something to do with it. But the magical ingredient for that crazy, wonderful day was you. Although I felt intimidated to finally spend time with THE Lily Alex had told me so much about, I felt instantly at ease with you. You are just so warm and loving, with a side note of crazy & whimsy that resonated with my own. I just loved being a silly goose with you! This ferry trip will forever be my favorite of all times, and I hope we have plenty more silly, crazy and whimsy adventures together in the future.
