ADVANCING HEALTHCARE THROUGH LOCAL INNOVATION The journey to support a new dialyzer manufacturer in India began with a shared vision—making high-quality dialysis treatment more accessible and affordable for patients. Established through connections made at a Medical Expo, the opportunity aligned perfectly with the customer's commitment to local manufacturing and the Government of India's Make in India initiative. Understanding the critical performance and regulatory requirements of medical device manufacturing, Henkel collaborated closely with the customer to identify a reliable, biocompatible potting solution for dialyzer production. The team recommended LOCTITE CR 3502 and LOCTITE CR 4100, a polyurethane-based potting system designed to deliver the quality, consistency, and performance required for medical applications. Vishal S (AE) Henkel Internal - Confidential Through close collaboration between Sales, Application Engineering, Product Development, and the customer team, the solution was successfully qualified and implemented. The project enabled local manufacturing, created a significant business opportunity for Henkel, and demonstrated the power of innovation and customer-focused teamwork. With multiple line expansions planned across India, this success lays a strong foundation for future growth and affordable healthcare solutions.Hemant Sawant (NSM – PLS) Amlan Kar (KAM)
A TALE OF THERMAL GEL: TO GO WHERE NONE HAVE GONE BEFORE Driven by the rapid growth of India's telecom sector and the expansion of two major operators, subscriber demand has surged over the past 15 years, accelerating the need for innovation and thermal efficiency. When a key customer approached Henkel for thermal management of a next-generation 5G device, the solution seemed clear but the challenge was unprecedented. Globally, thermal interface materials for similar 5G IC applications had never exceeded a 45 × 45 mm heat-management area. Our customer, however, required a solution for more than twice that area under significantly harsher operating conditions, pushing the boundaries of thermal management performance and application expertise. Shreyas Tanksale (Lead AE) Henkel Internal - Confidential Through multiple process optimizations—including material dispensing patterns, cycle-time adjustments, and new techniques to control thermal gel behavior under harsh thermal cycling conditions—the solution successfully met the customer's thermal qualification requirements and received conditional approval. The journey continues as we work closely with the customer to finalize the solution and establish it within their production lines. Special thanks to Pankaj Choure, Ankur Kulkarni, Abhilasha Singh, Dhanaji Bedare, and Raj Sharma for their outstanding contributions in laboratory validation, customer trials, and successful project execution.
