2 Our Mission At Bali Paws Jimbaran, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and responsibly rehome the street dogs of Bali by giving each one the opportunity to live a safe, healthy, and loving life. Every dog in our care receives the medical treatment, nutrition, socialization, and compassion needed to prepare them for a successful transition into a permanent home. We believe that every dog deserves a family and that responsible adoption can transform lives—both for the dogs we rescue and the people who welcome them into their homes. Our adoption process is designed to ensure that every match is in the best interests of both the dog and the adopter, creating lifelong relationships built on trust, care, and commitment. Beyond rescue and rehoming, we are committed to reducing the number of homeless dogs through education, responsible pet ownership, and sterilization programs. By working together with our community, adopters, volunteers, and supporters, we strive to create a future where fewer dogs suffer on the streets of Bali and more are given the chance to live the happy, secure lives they deserve. Why adopt a dog from Bali Paws? When you adopt a dog from Bali Paws Jimbaran, you do more than give one dog a loving home—you save a life. Every adoption creates space, time, and resources for us to rescue another vulnerable street dog in need of medical care, rehabilitation, and a second chance. The adoption process Adopter fills out the adoption application. Once approved, the adopter chooses dog ( shelter visit is preferred for this). An adopter gets a one-month trial period to foster dog. At the end of one month, the adopter may return the dog, no questions asked or keep the dog and the adoption becomes official Foster-to-Adopt Foster-to-Adopt refers to the adoption process from the initial foster period to the finalization of the adoption Adoption Requirements To provide every rescued dog with the best possible future, adopters must be able to offer a safe, secure, and loving home. Dogs should live in a home with a securely fenced garden or yard where they can exercise and play safely. They should be treated as valued members of the family and must never be kept permanently in cages or restrained with ropes or chains. For their safety and wellbeing, adopted dogs must not be allowed to roam freely on the streets. Free-roaming dogs are at risk of traffic accidents, theft, poisoning, becoming lost, or suffering injury or illness. Keeping your dog safely contained and supervised is an essential part of responsible pet ownership. Adopters must also commit to providing proper nutrition, fresh drinking water, suitable shelter, regular veterinary care, and plenty of love, exercise, and companionship throughout the dog's lifetime. Adoption is a lifelong commitment, and we ask every adopter to be prepared to care for their dog for all of its life.
4 Preparing Your Home Before bringing your new dog home, take some time to prepare a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. Make sure your garden or yard is fully enclosed, remove any hazards or toxic substances, and decide where your dog will eat, sleep, and relax. Having food and water bowls, a comfortable bed, toys, and a secure collar and lead ready before your dog's arrival will help them settle in more comfortably. Remember that your adopted dog may need time to adjust to unfamiliar surroundings. Be patient, provide a calm and predictable routine, and allow your dog to explore their new home at their own pace. With love, consistency, and a safe environment, your new companion will soon begin to feel secure and become a valued member of your family. Veterinary Care Providing regular veterinary care is one of the most important responsibilities of every adopter. Your dog should receive routine health check-ups, stay up to date with vaccinations, and be protected against internal and external parasites through regular deworming, flea, tick, and heartworm prevention as recommended by your veterinarian. Prompt medical attention should always be sought if your dog becomes ill or injured. Many rescued street dogs arrive with health conditions that require ongoing care and monitoring. Following your veterinarian's advice, including administering prescribed medications such as deworming treatments and skin medications, is essential for your dog's recovery and long-term wellbeing. With proper veterinary care, good nutrition, and a loving home, your adopted dog can enjoy a healthy, happy life.
5 Puppy Sterilization Policy Some puppies may be adopted before they are old enough to be sterilized. To help prevent unwanted litters and support responsible pet ownership, all puppies adopted from Bali Paws Jimbaran must be sterilized at 5 months of age, unless otherwise advised by a veterinarian for medical reasons. To support our adopters and ensure this important step is completed, Bali Paws Jimbaran provides sterilization free of charge at Vee Vet Bali in Denpasar. We will work with you to arrange the procedure at the appropriate time. Sterilization is an important part of our commitment to improving the welfare of dogs in Bali and helping reduce the number of homeless street dogs. Home Delivery At Bali Paws Jimbaran, it is our policy to personally deliver every adopted dog or puppy to their new home. This allows us to help ensure a calm and safe transition, giving your new companion the best possible start in their new environment. It also provides an opportunity to answer any final questions and offer guidance on helping your dog settle into their new home. Home delivery also gives us one final opportunity to confirm that the living environment is safe, secure, and suitable for the dog or puppy being adopted. This step is an important part of our commitment to responsible rehoming and helps ensure that every adoption is in the best interests of both the dog and the adopter. Lifetime Return Policy If, at any time, an adopter is no longer able to care for or keep their dog, the dog may be returned to Bali Paws Jimbaran. We understand that unexpected changes in personal circumstances can happen, and our priority is always the dog’s safety, wellbeing, and future.
6 The dog may be returned without questions or judgment. We encourage adopters to contact Bali Paws Jimbaran as soon as possible so that we can make appropriate arrangements and provide the dog with the care and support needed while we work toward the best next step Adopter's Promise By adopting a dog from Bali Paws Jimbaran, you are making a lifelong commitment to provide a loving, safe, and caring home. Your adopted dog will depend on you for food, fresh water, shelter, exercise, veterinary care, companionship, and kindness throughout its life. We ask every adopter to treat their dog as a valued member of the family and to provide the love, patience, and security every rescued dog deserves. As an adopter, you also promise to care for your dog's physical and emotional wellbeing, to keep them safe from harm, and to provide responsible training and guidance.
