Our BW Remarkable value outlines our commitment to provide our colleagues with the right knowledge, skills and development to enhance them both personally and professionally. Learn and Earn rewards colleagues for taking a self-directed approach to learning outside of working hours. Learning must be completed on our Kallidus learning hub, where monthly packages are available for your ease. For every 20-minute of online learning completed, we’ll pay you £5 in Rewards Beans! Page 2 Plus, for every additional 60 minutes of learning, you will receive an extra £5, on top of what you have already earned. The maximum training you can complete per month is 3 hours. Reward Beans are paid weekly, usually being credited to your My Staff Shop account on the Tuesday of each week.

Everyone is encouraged to learn and develop whilst working at BW, and so we provide you with some optional time each month to dedicate to your own learning & development as follows: Level 1 Contracts – 120 minutes per month Level 2 Contracts – 180 minutes per month Page 4 You can use your allowance to view eLearning, webinars, animations, videos, skills for life books and info-graphs on the BW Learning Hub. This helps to strengthen you in your role and to complete your colleague and management development programmes, which make up our 5R values. L&D Allowance is booked via an ‘Other Event’ on the People HR planner and your manager will be required to approve this before the allowance is taken. To book your L&D allowance: 1, Log into People HR and go to your planner. 2. Find the ‘Other Event’ row and select the day you would like to book your L&D allowance. 3. Choose L&D allowance from the drop-down menu and populate the time. 4. Select submit. A request will be sent to your manager to review and approve.
A robust Health Cash Plan is essential for supporting your overall well-being, allowing you to focus on both your professional and personal life with peace of mind. Our Health Shield Cash Plan enables colleagues to claim money back on routine healthcare costs. Running from January to December each year, the plan is divided into five key areas, each with its own cash-back limit: Available to all colleagues after successful completion of your BW Beginnings Mid Review, the People Team will automatically enroll you into the plan. On-Site GP Managing health concerns can be tricky, but our on-site GP service makes it simple and quick, whether it’s a mole check or a minor issue you’ve been putting off. A private GP will be on site every fortnight, with dates shared in the BW Buzz. To book, just call or email HR. Consultations last 15–20 minutes, depending on your concern, and take place in the First Aid Room. The service is provided by Dr Harry Rashid from The Leeds Clinic. How booking an appointment works: 1) Contact HR at HR@bwlegal.co.uk or on ext. 2982 to book your appointment If working from home and a remote appointment is required, this should be indicated at the time of booking. For mental health concerns, multiple issues, or micro-suction appointments, a 30-minute slot is required. 2) HR Will enter ‘Other Event – GP Appointment on site WTB’ into your PeopleHR Planner. 3) HR will add this to your calendar and send you an invite, so it is in your diary. 4) You will need to complete the Patient Registration Form, which is sent directly to Leeds Clinic. 5) After you attend the appointment, you will need to raise a timesheet for the length of time your appointment was to record time back using the wording ‘WTB for GP on date (XX/XX/XX). Virtual GP You also have access to two Virtual GP services. This gives all colleagues the option to speak to a GP over the phone 24/7 at a prearranged time to suit you. This service is accessible on your mobile, tablet or laptop. Need help with back, neck or shoulder pain – or want to prevent aches before they start? Our on-site physio, Daniel from Light Joints Physiotherapy, is here to help. We offer a free gym membership at 360 Fit Gym, just a 10-minute walk or 2- minute drive from the office, with plenty of free parking. The gym has capped membership, so you won’t wait for equipment, plus a 1- 2-1 induction and access to a personal trainer to support your goals. We all need support from time to time, and we understand that everybody is different so in order to give you the support you need, when you need it, you can choose to liaise with a counsellor when it best suits you. At BW, we have two different ways in which you can receive counselling: You can access up to 8 sessions from each of our EAPs, totalling up to 16 sessions. Alternatively, you can choose your own counsellor and claim back the fees through our Health Cash Back Plan. Counselling Page 10
Going to the dentist isn’t always appealing, but it’s vital for good oral health – and finding an NHS dentist can be tough. That’s why BW Legal has partnered with Leeds Dental Clinic to offer colleagues exclusive discounts on dental plans and treatments. They offer 12-month membership plans focused on prevention, maintenance and early intervention, all at a discounted rate for BW colleagues. You can order your ticket online by choosing your local travel zone and completing the direct debit application form. 3. You can receive the ticket through your chosen method, but you will need to download the m-ticket app and register your details first. Our off-site car park is only 5 minutes walking distance from our office. Finally, if you get a new car, you will need to complete a new vehicle logbook.

All colleagues can participate once a year after completing BW beginnings, with responses featured monthly on the Time to Shine BW Connect page. If you take part, you’ll receive £25 in Reward Beans for My Staff Shop - you’ll be emailed when it’s your turn. As part of our BW Bravo initiative, we have Memorable Moments. Level 1 starts with an earning potential of £945 Reward Beans for meeting the attendance and punctuality criteria. Wills are available for a fixed price of £180 (covering executors, guardians, up to 5 gifts, residue, alternative provisions for 5 beneficiaries, one re-draft, one copy, and free storage) or £315 for mirror Wills. Weoffer Income Protection Insurance through MetLife to help safeguard your earnings if an accident or illness prevents you from working for a prolonged period. This provides peace of mind by reducing the financial impact of lost income. Colleagues are eligible after 3 months’ service. If the circumstances meet the criteria, the People Team will raise a claim with MetLife, and you’ll complete an Employee Claim Form directly with them.
A pension scheme helps you save for later in life, and the NEST workplace pension adds company contributions and tax relief to boost your savings. Your contributions are invested to help your money grow over your working life. Most pension schemes receive tax relief on personal contributions, but the NEST workplace pension scheme allows you to benefit even further because the company also contributes.
