Exe News Review Issue 01 Summer 2026 is the club magazine for Exe Sailing Club members. It covers the summer season's sailing events, club activities and volunteer achievements.
The issue opens with a report on five junior RS Tera sailors who competed at the RS Tera National Championships at Plas Heli in Pwllheli, Wales. Stefan Anderson, Neva Pearson, Jack Rowsell, Freddie Mew and Barney Rhodes faced varied conditions from heat to thunderstorms. Barney Rhodes achieved a race win on the final day.
The same five sailors then travelled to Travemünde, Germany for the combined RS Games and Tera World Championships. Racing in 15-22 knot winds, Stefan Anderson finished 7th in the Pro fleet and Barney Rhodes 8th in the Sport fleet. The report notes next year's World Championships will be on Lake Garda, Italy.
The magazine covers the Exe Sailing Club's skittles teams. The Ladies of the Exe team has been running for 35 years. The mixed Tornados team finished third in the Exe River League. Contact details are provided for new members.
