The Three Friends Once upon a time, there were three best friends: Sally the snake, Sammy the snail, and Susie the spider. It was their summer vacation, so on a lovely Sunday, they decided to go for a picnic. They packed up and headed straight to the seashore. When they arrived, they looked up to see a beautiful blue sky and a bright, yellow, shining sun. All around them, there was plenty of soft sand. As they walked closer to the water, they spotted a pretty starfish lying on the beach. Far out in the deep blue ocean, they could also see a big ship sailing away. The three friends spent their afternoon playing together in the sand and building a grand sandcastle. After running around, they grew very tired and hungry, so they opened up their picnic basket to see what delicious treats they had brought. Inside, they found yummy sandwiches, warm soup, and sweet red strawberries. By the time they finished eating, it was already sunset. Knowing it would turn dark soon, Sally, Sammy, and Susie packed up their things and rushed back home after a wonderful day.
Annie and the Apple Tree Once upon a time, there was a cheerful little girl named Annie. She loved to wear her favourite boots and go on adventures in her sunny green garden. One bright morning, Annie walked up to a big, beautiful tree to look for a delicious red apple. "Crunch, crunch, crunch!" Annie said. "I love apples!" As she sat on the grass, Annie looked down and saw a tiny, busy ant. Tickle, tickle, tickle! The ant marched right up Annie’s arm! Annie giggled and gently set the ant back down on a green leaf. Suddenly, Annie heard a SPLASH! in the little garden pond nearby. Out popped a friendly green alligator named Alfie! Alfie loved to smile and wave his big tail. "Look!" cried Annie, pointing her finger like a sharp arrow. "There’s Alfie the alligator!" Annie wanted to build a wooden house for her new friend Alfie. So, she picked up a wooden axe— chop, chop, chop! Her friends helped her gather small sticks from under the apple tree. The tiny ant, Alfie the alligator, and Annie cheered as they had an apple treat together.

Tom’s Surprise Tom loved adventures more than anything in the world. One bright Tuesday morning, he woke up feeling very excited. “Today I will go on a super adventure!” said Tom, packing his favourite toy train and teddy bear into a tiny bag. As he stepped outside, something magical happened… the path behind his house seemed to go on and on, right into a forest of tall, whispering trees. Tom walked in slowly, looking around with wide eyes. Suddenly, he heard a soft voice. “Hello there…” Tom looked down and saw a tiny turtle wearing a little leaf hat! “Did you talk?” asked Tom in surprise. “Yes,” said the turtle smiling. “I am Timmy the Turtle. I love exploring too. Where are you going?” “I don’t know,” said Tom. “I was just having an adventure.” Timmy clapped his tiny flippers. “Perfect! Let’s go together!” So, Tom and Timmy became friends right away. They walked past tall grass, crossed little stones, and soon reached something very exciting—a bright yellow tent beside a huge tree. Wow!” said Tom. “This looks like a perfect adventure spot!” Inside the tent, they found a surprise picnic already waiting! There were juicy tomatoes, crunchy toast, and even a small bottle of lemonade. “Someone must have prepared this for us,” said Timmy. Just then, they heard a loud sound in the distance— “TOOT! TOOT!” A real train was passing nearby, glowing like it was made of sunshine! Tom jumped with joy. “My toy train sounds just like that!” They both laughed and waved at the passing train as it zoomed away. After their picnic, Tom and Timmy spent the afternoon playing games, counting leaves, and even racing each other—very slowly, of course, because turtles don’t hurry! When the sun began to set, Tom felt a little sad. “I have to go home now,” he said. Timmy smiled gently. “Thank you for the best adventure ever.” Tom waved goodbye. “Thank you for being my friend!” As Tom walked back, he whispered, “What a terrific day… a tent, a train, and a tiny new friend!” And from that day on, Tom always believed— “Every adventure begins with a tiny surprise and a new friend.”

Polly’s Magical Day at the Beach One bright morning, Polly grabbed her basket and called, “Come on, Pia! It’s beach time!” Her playful puppy raced beside her as they followed the sandy path to the sea. The waves went whoosh, whoosh, and the ocean sparkled like diamonds. Suddenly, Pia barked. “Woof!” Polly looked up and gasped. A penguin in a tiny sun hat was waddling by the water! “Hello!” said the penguin. “I love the beach!” Just then, a colourful parrot swooped down. “Hello, beach friends!” it chirped. Together, they started pebble painting. Polly painted a bright yellow sun, the penguin painted a blue wave, and the parrot painted a rainbow. Pia even left a tiny paw print on one of the pebbles! “Look how pretty they are!” said Polly. Everyone proudly placed their painted pebbles near the shore. As the sun began to set, the sky turned orange and pink. Polly smiled and said, “The beach is magical, but friends make it even more special!”

A Noisy Day One morning, Nina was in her bedroom with her new notebook. She wanted to draw something nice, but suddenly, “Oh no!” Her notebook was missing! Nina and her friends Neil and Nora searched everywhere. They looked under the table, inside the shelf, and next to the toy box. Then Nora shouted, “Look! I found it!” The notebook was near the reading corner, inside the net. On the page was a picture of a nest with nine tiny birds! Just then, Nina's nanny entered the room carrying a big bowl of noodles. Suddenly, they heard a strange sound, “Nnnn… nnnn…” Everyone looked around. “What was that?” whispered Neil. The nanny smiled and pointed to the window. Outside, they saw a big airplane flying across the sky, making a funny “Nnnnn… nnnn…” sound. Nina laughed and said, “It sounds just like the 'n' sound!” The children excitedly looked around, clapped and cheered, “N is for so many wonderful words!”
