Learners gain experience, confidence and direction towards sustainable employment.A therapeutic approach supports emotional intelligence, resilience and personal growth to support them in overcoming barriers to achieve lasting outcomes.Re-distributing over 2000 tonnes/yr within our warehouses by sorting and packing food in partnership with FareShare.The sorted food is re-distributed to 44 community larders to alleviate food poverty, reduce food waste and build stronger communities.Learners experience mentored cooking within our kitchen as well as supporting schools and communities with nutritional sessions, information and wellbeing.Learners gain digital skills, refurbish laptops / devices and tackle digital exclusion through redistribution, opening doors to opportunities for the community.The SVPs enable purpose, building self-worth through service, developing relevant skills, and applying this to enhance future employment opportunities.THE SOFEA PATHWAYMany of our young people come from disadvantaged backgrounds,complex needs of its participants – including neurodiversity, mental health conditions, disrupted education and challenging family or social backgrounds in which we support them to provide qualifications, skills, purpose and opportunities to transform their future.A strong emphasis is placed on emotional regulation, behaviour and practical workplace expectations, alongside academic support such as GCSE English and Maths and Functional Skills. Our largest social value programme is our Felix food distribution warehouses in Didcot and Milton Keynes.
