CLASS CODE: 405 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: 3-SIBOL-PRESENTER DATE: 07/08/2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING My peer demonstrated very effectively how young people can contribute to community development through organizing efforts. They explained that even small actions, like organizing a campus recycling program or a free tutoring session for younger students, can already create a positive impact. One specific strategy they shared was to use group chats and social media to mobilize volunteers quickly, because most students are more active online. I also appreciated how my peer showed teamwork and leadership during the discussion. They made sure everyone in our group was heard, gave credit to others' ideas, and kept us organized so we could finish on time. It showed me that real leadership is not about talking the most, but about helping the group work together. I realized that community organizing is important because it teaches us to be responsible and compassionate for people around us. As a young person and a HAU student, I can apply these ideas in my own environment by starting small bayanihan efforts like organizing study groups, clean up drives in our area, or skills-sharing projects in my course. With Competentia, I can use my skills to help; with Conscientia, I can be accountable for my role; and with Compassion, I can make sure no one is left behind. I'm grateful for this activity because it reminded me that even as a student, I already have a role in building and serving my community.
