The Kenya Police News August Bulletin is the first issue of the Kenya Police Service's internal magazine, launched on 18 August 2026. It is written for police officers, security stakeholders, and members of the public interested in the Service's activities and reforms.

The bulletin opens with the launch of the KPS Magazine and Strategic Communications Office, presided over by Deputy Inspector General Eliud Lagat. It then covers a full-dress parade rehearsal at Kiganjo Police Training College ahead of a Passing-Out Parade scheduled for 28 August 2026, which was to be presided over by the President.

A security committee tour assessed readiness at Kiganjo and the Magado Field Campus in Meru, where 700 National Police Reservists are undergoing a one-month intensive course. The committee chairman pledged parliamentary support for infrastructure expansion.

Nairobi police commanders received a mandate on security review and internal discipline. The bulletin reports on patrol directives for divisions including Kasarani, Embakasi, Githurai, Starehe, Buruburu, and Ruai, and warns against officers aiding criminal enterprises.

Welfare visits along the Isiolo-Modogashe corridor are documented, including inspections at GSU LII Camp, Magado Field Campus, and Kachiuru Police Post. A separate section covers a visit to recruits at Magadi Field Campus nearing the end of their field training.

The bulletin also reports on a media and justice sector stakeholders retreat at Lerruat Log Resort, a visit to California Police Station, and a feature on technology-led community policing in Kiamumbi using WhatsApp groups for real-time engagement.
