ARCHITECTURE • DESIGN • RESEARCH I am a Bachelor of Architecture student at Rajalakshmi School of Architecture, Thandalam, Chennai, currently seeking an internship opportunity to gain practical, real-world experience and understand the professional practice of architecture. Through my academic projects and independent explorations, I have developed experience in architectural research, conceptual design, hand sketching, physical model-making, site analysis, and digital representation. MEP coordination and modelling Project scheduling Family creation Site planning Shadow analysis Floor plans, sections, and elevations Architectural visualization and rendering Walkthroughs and presentation development SOFTWARE & DIGITAL SKILLS I have experience with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Blender, BIM, D5 Render, Affinity, and Canva. I have developed a strong interest in Revit and BIM workflows, with experience in: As part of my design process, I use Climate Consultant for preliminary site and environmental analysis, studying parameters such as temperature, humidity, cloud cover, precipitation, illumination, wind velocity, wind direction, psychrometric conditions, and ground temperature. I use these findings to understand site-specific climatic conditions and incorporate appropriate active and passive design strategies based on seasonal and temporal variations. I also explore Rhino and Grasshopper for parametric design and environmental analysis, including solar radiation studies to understand building performance in relation to its location and orientation. ENVIRONMENTAL & PARAMETRIC ANALYSIS I am interested in exploring how design, technology, environmental analysis, and BIM workflows can work together to develop thoughtful and responsive architectural solutions. Through an internship, I hope to learn from professional practice, contribute to ongoing projects, and further develop my technical and design skills. DESIGN APPROACH VINUBALAN S.P

MIXED-USE BUILDING CONCEPT — BRINGING THE HILLS TO THE CITY Inspired by the scenic landscape of Meghamalai, where hills, lakes, and lush greenery coexist, the design envisions bringing the essence of a hill station into the urban context of Chennai. The concept integrates the natural elements of water, topography, and vegetation to create a refreshing urban environment that building form reconnects people with nature. SUSTAINABLE CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT Natural ventilation and daylight Site planning and tree preservation Green roofs and renewable energy Water conservation Sustainable materials and waste management WORKED IN : REVIT & AI RENDER DUE TO THE FILE SIZE The design preserves existing trees and integrates green terraces, landscaped spaces, and water features to create a harmonious connection between nature and urban life. The mixed-use development combines retail, offices, and research labs across two interconnected blocks, linked by bridges and shared public spaces that encourage interaction and collaboration.
WORKED IN : REVIT & AI RENDER DUE TO THE FILE SIZE MIXED-USE BUILDING Ultimately, the design aims to create a contemporary urban ecosystem where nature, commerce, work, and research coexist. By translating the landscape character of Meghamalai into a vertical and interconnected architectural experience, the project proposes a sustainable model for bringing the tranquillity of nature into the dynamic urban fabric of Chennai.
LIBRARY CLIMATE-RESPONSIVE DESIGNDESIGN CONCEPT – Climate-Responsive Design: Maximizes natural daylight and cross-ventilation while reducing energy consumption through locally appropriate materials and passive design strategies. Library Design: Creates a vibrant community hub integrating reading, learning, culture, and interaction through dedicated zones for children, science, Tamil literature, digital resources, exhibitions, and competitive exam preparation, supported by administrative facilities and a café. Visual Connectivity and Privacy: Each floor offers landscape views on both sides, creating an open reading environment, while the rear façade provides privacy and enclosure for dedicated gathering and event spaces. APARTMENT ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN CONCEPT: THE CENTRAL COURTYARD RESIDENTIAL UNITS Central Courtyard Concept: A shared courtyard between two residential blocks enhances natural lighting, ventilation, privacy, and social interaction while creating a protected communal space. Its stack- effect and cross-ventilation strategies improve thermal comfort and reduce dependence on mechanical cooling. External Circulation Cores: Externally positioned lifts and staircases improve circulation efficiency, optimize internal space, enhance ventilation, and frame views of the courtyard and surrounding landscape while maintaining privacy and accessibility. Residential Planning: Compact, efficient layouts maximize usable space, natural light, and ventilation, while a clear circulation system ensures convenient connectivity between apartments, common areas, and shared amenities. MULTIPLEX MULTIPLEX DESIGN CONCEPT – “THE BUILDING AS A TELEVISION SCREEN” PLANING & OCCUPANCY TV-Inspired Multiplex Design: The building façade reinterprets a television screen through bold rectangular frames, LED displays, and illuminated elements, creating a dynamic architectural landmark that reflects entertainment and cinematic experiences. Planning and Design: The multiplex features three screening halls accommodating approximately 450 people, supported by lobbies, ticketing, concessions, and waiting areas. Acoustic and Visual Comfort: Sound insulation, acoustic treatments, controlled lighting, and tiered seating enhance the cinematic experience. Design Intent: A TV-inspired façade, efficient circulation, and immersive screening spaces establish the multiplex as a distinctive entertainment destination. WORKED IN : REVIT & D5 RENDER

NATURE & TRADITIONAL-BASED DESIGN CONCEPT PRIMARY SCHOOL EXTENDED CLASSROOM SPACES Nature-Inspired Sustainable Design: Inspired by the traditional Padasala system, the central courtyard enhances natural ventilation, daylight penetration, and indoor air quality, creating a climate-responsive and sustainable learning environment. Sustainable Learning Environment: Extended classrooms, landscaped spaces, and a central courtyard enhance natural lighting, ventilation, and indoor– outdoor connectivity. Green roofs support vegetable cultivation for campus cooking, while traditional design principles and sustainable strategies create a healthy, energy-efficient, nature-integrated learning environment.
