Dining at the Festive Board must be confirmed with the secretary no later than 14 days before the meeting and should be settled with the treasurer at the time of booking. GP Committee Meetings of this Lodge are held on the Thursday, two weeks following a regular Lodge meeting. Annual Subscriptions are payable in advance in January. OUR WARRANT Each Lodge when constituted is issued with it’s warrant . Every warrant issued by UGLE must specify the Lodge name, number, meeting place and dates together with the names of the petitioners. It must also name the First Master, Senior Warden and Junior Warden. When reading our warrant some interesting facts emerge - Our warrant is dated 3rd Day of May 1939 The Lodge was not constituted until 22nd May 1946 due to the Second world war starting in 1939. The original named Brethren to be the First Master, Senior and Junior Wardens were Richard Henry Clerke (WM), Alfred George Baker (SW) and Sidney Charles Elphick (JW). A note has been added on behalf on the Grand Master and signed by the Grand Secretary (dated 6th March 1946) that the Sidney Charles Elphick to be SW and Charles Amos Carmichael Stockbridge to be JW. Alfred George Baker does not appear in our Founders and First Officers List, presumably withdrawing in the intervening period. As a PM of Whipps Cross Lodge 4642 he did, however attend the Consecration as a visitor. A second note is also added to the warrant and states the following- “ Owing to the death of the Most Worshipful the Grand Master His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent, K.G on the 25th August 1942 and of the Most Worshipful Pro Grand Master the Earl of Harewood, K.G. on the 24th May 1947, and the delay in the Consecration of the within named lodge, this Warrant is issued without bearing the signatures of the afore- mentioned “. This note was signed by the Grand Secretary dated 3rd September 1947, (after our consecrated date). Our Warrant is actually signed by William H. Darell, A.G.M., (who consecrated the lodge ). When the Grand Secretary read the warrant at the consecration ceremon was it signed ? Our Original meeting dates in the warrant were - 3rd Wednesday in January, the Third Tuesday in April and December and the Fourth Tuesday in October, all at Freemason’s Hall, Great Queen Street, London The Founding Brethren named in the warrant are - Richard Henry Clerke, Alfred George Baker, Sidney Charles Elphick, Francis William Chitty, William Benjamin Gambill, Harry Claude Richardson , Frederic William Buckman and others. Both William Benjamin Gambill and Frederic William Buckman do not appear on our founders and First Officers list nor did they attend the consecration meeting . Unfortunately we have no surviving founder members, It is noted in the minutes of the regular lodge meeting on 27th January 1948 that The WM produced the warrant for the first time. Agenda 1.
