James - Small class sizes and the real communal atmosphere. What is it like to join Hutton Sixth Form from a different school? Abigail - I was nervous to begin with, but that soon went away and I found that I felt so comfortable and welcome at Hutton. It was really easy to make friends, as most of us had come from different schools, so we were all in the same boat

The EPQ is a standalone qualification that carries UCAS points equivalent to half an A Level. At Hutton Sixth Form you will have the option to complete an EPQ with us during Year 12 and the first half of Year 13. The EPQ allows you to complete an independent research topic of your own choice. You will plan and research your topic, keep a record of all work completed, produce a written report or artefact and then lead a brief presentation. The EPQ will help you to develop a wide range of transferable skills, and evidence shows that students who have completed an EPQ have a higher chance of achieving grades A*-B at A Levels and are also more likely to obtain a 1st or 2:1 at university. Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) SEND Support As a small Sixth Form, we’re able to provide tailored support to students who need it.
