Romeo later kills Tybalt and is sent away from Verona. Friar Laurence makes a plan to help them, but Romeo does not know about the plan. He thinks Juliet is dead and kills himself. When Juliet wakes up and sees Romeo dead, she also kills herself. Their deaths finally end the fight between their familiesI focus on the story itself, especially its words, characters, symbols, and structure. The play uses many opposites, such as love and hate, light and darkness, and life and death.Formalist ApproachReader-Response ApproachAs a reader, I feel sad and sorry for Romeo and Juliet because they truly love each other but cannot be together because of their families.Marxist Approachfamily power and social status affect Romeo and Juliet's lives. I noticed that their families have control over their choices, especially about marriage and relationshipsDuring that time, family honor, social status, and parental control were important. This helps us understand why Juliet has difficulty choosing her own future.Historical ApproachLiterary DevicesMetaphor – Juliet is compared to light. It all started when our church announced a seven-day camp. At first, I was simply excited to join because I wanted to experience something new, meet new people, and create memories with everyone. During the camp, I met a girl who was kind and easy to talk to. We quickly became friends. We spent time together, talked about different things, laughed, and enjoyed the activities. As the days passed, I started to realize that I was becoming more comfortable around her. Eventually, I began to develop feelings for her. I did not expect it to happen, and I wasn't sure what to do with those feelings. The seven-day camp ended, and we had to return to our normal lives. Even though the camp was over, the memories I made with her stayed with me. Three years have passed since that camp. We haven't seen each other during those years, and life has taken us in different directions. However, whenever I remember those seven days, I still remember her. Somehow, the feelings I had for her never completely disappeared. Maybe that camp was only seven days, but for me, it became a memory that lasted for years. I don't know what the future holds or if our paths will ever cross again. But I'm grateful that, for seven days, I met someone who became a special part of my story. Sometimes, a short moment in our lives can leave a feeling that lasts much longer than we expect. The Seven-Day Camp My Own Digital Literary Piece
