In an increasingly digital and interconnected world, it is essential that students develop communication skills (linguistic and interpersonal), critical and creative thinking skills, and technological skills. This project proposes the creation of a digital school magazine as a space for expression, communication, learning, and collaboration, integrating English, Art, and Technology content. PAGE 16
PAGE 1 Welcome to The Global Classroom! In this section, we share our experiences learning English throughout the year. You will discover our projects, international exam preparation, cultural exchanges, and visits from exchange students. English Beyond the Classroom Through these activities, we have improved our language skills, connected with people from different cultures, and explored new opportunities beyond the classroom. PAGE 1 One of the most memorable experiences we had this year was meeting students from another country via a Zoom video call. We talked about our cultures, interests, hobbies, and daily routines, and learned more about their lives while sharing our own experiences. What we enjoyed most was communicating with students from a different cultural background. We would love to have more opportunities like this in the future, as they help us improve our confidence in English and connect with people from around the world. PAGE 1 During Claire’s visit, we learned about Kentucky's famous horse-riding traditions and the popularity of sports like basketball, football, and baseball in the US. Claire, a university student of Law and International Politics, is currently working as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant. While here, she embraced Argentine culture by trying empanadas and tasting mate for the first time. Ultimately, meeting Claire was a wonderful cultural exchange that allowed us to learn about American traditions while practicing our English. CLAIRE’S VISIT DIGITALZINE Bridging Cultures PAGE 19
PAGE 1 Another exciting experience was participating in an English camp. Throughout the camp, we took part in a variety of games, challenges, and activities conducted entirely in English. In the morning, we worked in teams, solved tasks, and practiced the language in a fun and dynamic way. These activities helped us improve our communication skills, learn new vocabulary, and gain confidence when speaking English. The camp was not only educational but also a great opportunity to socialize, cooperate with our classmates, and create unforgettable memories together.
