NATIONAL SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM (CWTS) JOURNAL WORKSHEET NO.1 NAME: GUINA, JHANNICE IANNHA B. CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-Secretary DATE: June 27, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: The National Services Training Program (NSTP) prepares students like us for the real world by giving significance to serving others and being responsible as citizens. Through volunteer work and community service, it broadens our understanding of many challenges people can encounter and it can even motivate us to assist in meaningful ways. Learning about the history and regulations of NSTP has made me realize that it was established not just to enhance our skills but also reinforce our civic responsibility. It also made me realize that a good citizen goes beyond more than just following rules. It also means showing compassion, collaborating with others, and taking accountability for enhancing our community. The laws behind NSTP emphasize that every student has a role in nation-building, no matter how small their contribution may seem. I believe that NSTP is important because it inspires young people to become active members of society who are willing to contribute to the well-being of their own communities. Which is why I look forward to gaining more knowledge, developing skills that would be valuable, and becoming more confident and eager in serving and helping others. NATIONAL SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM (CWTS) JOURNAL WORKSHEET NO.3 NAME: GUINA, JHANNICE IANNHA B. CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-Secretary DATE: JULY 2, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: Last Saturday’s discussion helped me better understand the importance of knowing myself and my role as a Filipino. I realized that being a Filipino is not just about living in the Philippines, but also about understanding my responsibilities and finding ways to contribute to my community and country. One realization I had was that I should participate in elections because every vote matters and can help shape the future of our nation. I also reflected on how, even though I am a Filipino citizen, I have not really contributed much to my community or society. This made me realize that I still have a lot to improve before I can truly consider myself a responsible Filipino citizen. I learned a lot from what our professor discussed last Saturday, and it encouraged me to become more aware of my responsibilities and start making positive contributions, even through small actions. NATIONAL SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM (CWTS) JOURNAL WORKSHEET NO.4 NAME: GUINA, JHANNICE IANNHA B. CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-Secretary DATE: JULY 4, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: Today, our group presented a role play about leadership and what it means to be a good leader. Through our presentation, we showed that a true leader is someone who listens, respects others, and thinks about the good of everyone instead of only making decisions for themselves. We also shared that our role models don’t have to be famous because even ordinary people, like our parents, can inspire us through their responsibility and kindness. While performing, I realized that leadership is not about having power but about serving and setting a good example for others. This activity made me reflect on how I can become a better leader in my own way. Even as a student, I can practice listening to others, working well with my classmates, and helping whenever I can. I also want to be remembered as someone who made a positive impact on other people’s lives, not because I held a leadership position, but because I treated others with respect and was willing to help. Overall, our role play reminded me that anyone can be a leader as long as they lead with humility, responsibility, and compassion. NATIONAL SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM (CWTS) JOURNAL WORKSHEET NO.5 NAME: GUINA, JHANNICE IANNHA B. CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-Secretary DATE: JULY 12, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: I was absent during the class meeting where these NSTP guide questions were discussed, so my reflection is based on the notes and information shared by my groupmates in our group chat. From what they shared, I understood that NSTP is important because it helps students become responsible Filipino citizens by promoting service, leadership, integrity, and concern for the community. Even though I was not able to participate in the discussion, I learned that being a good citizen means contributing positively to society through small but meaningful actions, and I will apply these values in my daily life and future community involvement. NATIONAL SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM (CWTS) JOURNAL WORKSHEET NO. 6 NAME: GUINA, JHANNICE IANNHA B. CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-Secretary DATE: JULY 29, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: To learn more about the development plan on our barangay, I visited the barangay on Wednesday July 29 and asked around with the help of my grandma who has a close relationship with one of the Councilor, Cherry Dimacali. The Barangay Captain was not present during my visit because, according to the councilor, the captain had gone to the barangay day care center after its jetmatic water pump was stolen. During my interview, I asked about the recent developments and projects in the community. Based on the information I gathered, I learned that there were only two developments mentioned in our barangay. The first was the completed renovation of the grotto, which I was told by some residents took several years to finish. The second was the extension and improvement of the barangay hall office. Aside from these, Councilor Cherry Dimacali shared that she was not aware of any other ongoing or planned community projects. This visit helped me realize the importance of community development and the need to keep residents informed about projects that benefit the barangay. NATIONAL SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM (CWTS) JOURNAL WORKSHEET NO. 7 NAME: GUINA, JHANNICE IANNHA B. CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-Secretary DATE: AUGUST 1, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: I feel most at ease when I am doing my schoolwork while my lover is on a phone call with me. His presence is comforting, and he always reminds me to take breaks and not put too much pressure on myself. Since I have ADHD, I sometimes struggle with managing multiple tasks because I tend to think about the next assignment before finishing the one I’m currently working on. He encourages me to take everything one step at a time, which helps me stay focused and feel less overwhelmed. Personally, I handle mental stress by getting enough sleep. Sleeping allows me to rest both physically and mentally, helping me feel refreshed and ready continue my responsibilities. Taking time to rest, along with having someone who supports and encourages me, helps me manage the stress that comes with school workloads. NATIONAL SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM (CWTS) JOURNAL WORKSHEET NO. 8 NAME: GUINA, JHANNICE IANNHA B. CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-Secretary DATE: AUGUST 8, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: During today’s session, we were introduced to the topic of social issues, which are problems or challenges that affect people and communities. We first did our attendance online, and then the topics for our group reports were distributed. Each group was assigned a specific social issue that we will discuss and report on during the next meeting. From the brief-discussion, I understood that community issues are problems that affect the people living in a particular community and can influence their daily lives and well-being. These issues can include problems related to education, poverty, health, the environment, and other concerns that people experience. Understanding these issues is important because it helps us become more aware of the problems around us and how they can affect the community as a whole. CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-Secretary DATE: AUGUST 25,2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: On August 21, we were tasked to create a problem tree analysis about an issue we noticed around us. Our group chose the problem of students not turning off the electricity when leaving the room. We chose this because it is a common and simple problem that students can help solve. Through the activity, I learned that small habits can have an impact on electricity consumption. We identified the possible causes and effects of the problem and thought of simple solutions, such as reminding students to turn off the lights, fans, and other electrical devices before leaving the room. This activity showed me that solving problems can start with small actions and being responsible. NATIONAL SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM (CWTS) JOURNAL WORKSHEET NO. 12 NAME: GUINA, JHANNICE IANNHA B. CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-Secretary DATE: SEPTEMBER 8,2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: The given PPT about flood readiness made me realize how important it is to be prepared, especially during the rainy season. The presentation discussed how flooding can affect communities by damaging homes, disrupting schooling, and creating health risks. It also emphasized the importance of staying informed, avoiding floodwaters, preparing emergency kits, and knowing where to evacuate. I was able to relate this to my own experience. Thankfully, my family and I are doing well. There was a concern in our village because the creek behind our area was overflowing and continuously rising as the rain continued. If the rain had not stopped, our village could have been flooded. I am grateful that the rain stopped before the situation became worse However , the weather has still been affecting me physically because I have been constantly experiencing fever while trying to continue studying. The frequent class suspensions have also made it difficult for me to focus on preparing for finals. It is frustrating because finals are approaching, and I know they will be more challenging. The suspension on September 7 was especially difficult. The announcement came late, and I had already left home early because I expected heavy traffic. When the suspension was announced, many students had to travel home at the same time, causing my usual 1–2 hour commute to become around 3 hours. Overall, this discussion helped me understand that disasters can affect more than just our homes and surroundings they can also affect our health, education, and daily lives. CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-Secretary DATE: SEPTEMBER 21, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: On September 19, Saturday, we were at PGN 611, sitting in on another NSTP class. The instructor was nice, and I could see that his students were comfortable enough to joke around with him. Sir was very approachable but also strict when it came to time. That day, he assigned us to make a SWOT analysis based on our previously submitted action plan. We were unable to take proper documentary pictures since we did not present in front of the class. However, we were able to take a few quick pictures of what we were doing during the activity.
