How this journal worksWhat I want from these 8 days - three things I hope to be able to do, understand, or feel? Each day, you will spend 20–30 minutes on three moves: SEE — What actually happened? (facts, moments, exact words — no judgment yet) THINK — What does it mean? Why did it work or not work? GROW — What is changing in me? Read this once. Then let the habit carry youA note on the exact-sentence habit: every day you will be asked to write down one sentence you actually heard, word for word. This trains the most important skill of an educator and a manager alike — separating evidence from interpretation. My Starting Point Complete during Day 1 Hi there!, Welcome to the Pohpunpanya Foundation. For the next 8 days, you will step into multiple roles: an observer, a camper, an operations staff, and a facilitator. This journal is your personal, safe space. It is designed to help you pause amidst the fast-paced camp environment, observe the invisible architecture of learning, and document your inner growth. Bring this journal with you every day. Be honest, be critical, and be curious. In your own words, what does "good learning" look like?Inner Check-in: How are you feeling as you prepare to start this journey?

Day 1 - Sunday 2 August Phase I — Orientation — Lens: Expectations & First Impressions During your conversation with Uncle Ple (Dr. Adit), what specific phrase, idea, or core value about the foundation's mission resonated with you the most? Why is this mission important for today's youth? One word for today: ________________________ You have now received the summary and philosophy behind the "Seed Camp." If you had to explain the core secret of this camp to a friend in just ONE sentence, what would you say? and why? Today was about understanding the "Fundamental" and the "vision." Tomorrow, you will step into the real camp to see it in action. What is the one specific thing you are most curious to observe or verify in the actual camp environment? Mentor's Response

Day 2 - Monday 3 August Operations Internship (RMO & Central Operation)— Lens: The Observer's Eye Today I touched these parts of the circle: registration · insurance · meals · accommodation · transport Describe ONE small operational detail you saw today that quietly protects the students' experience. Why does it matter? Which management competency did you actually practice today, and how can you improve it? What did you discover about your own organizational skills and attention to detail? One word for today: ________________________ Mentor's Response

Day 3 - Tuesday 4 August (as an observer) Phase III — Camp Observation — Lens: The Observer's Eye What is the atmosphere of the camp today? How did the facilitators create a sense of safety and trust? Observe one camper today. What made their eyes light up? When did they look confused or bored? What is one assumption you had about teaching or learning that was challenged today? LEARNING PROCESS WATCH — complete during or right after each activity block One word for today: ________________________ Mentor's Response

Day 4 - Wednesday 5 August (as an observer) Phase III — Camp Observation — Lens: The Observer's Eye Presenting ideas in a public forum can be highly intimidating for campers. What specific actions did the facilitators or operations team take—both backstage and on stage —to reduce anxiety and build a "safe space" for the campers to share their voices? During the presentations and the Q&A sessions, observe how the panel or facilitators respond. Note down ONE specific piece of feedback or a question that successfully pushed the campers to think deeper (Critical Thinking) without crushing their confidence. Why was it effective? Look away from the stage and look at the audience (other campers). How did the facilitators manage the energy of the room to keep the listeners engaged and respectful while others were speaking? LEARNING PROCESS WATCH — complete during or right after each activity block One word for today: ________________________ Mentor's Response

Day 4 - Wednesday 5 August (as a Facilitator ) Phase IV — Camp Staff Apprentice Did the activity flow well? Was there enough time for deep thinking, or did it feel rushed? If you could adjust the timing of today's session, what would you change? Note down one powerful "Socratic Question" you or a senior facilitator asked today. Why did it work? When you asked a question, did you wait at least 5 seconds before speaking again? [ ] Yes, always [ ] Sometimes [ ] No, I rushed it How did the campers respond to the silence? Focus: Process evaluation, Socratic questioning, and timing How did the campers' body language change when they figured out an answer by themselves vs. when they were told the answer? One word for today: ________________________ Mentor's Response

Day 5 - Thursday 6 August (as a Facilitator ) Phase IV — Camp Staff Apprentice In an exhibition, campers can easily become passive consumers of information. Note down ONE specific question or prompt you used today to shift a camper from simply "looking" to "analyzing" or connecting the dots. How did their level of engagement change after your question? During the project creation phase, things often get messy. Teams disagree or get completely stuck. Describe a moment today where a group faced a roadblock. Did you step in immediately, or did you let them experience "productive struggle"? Focus: Process evaluation, Socratic questioning, and timing As a capable Facilitator, it requires immense self-control to watch someone do something slowly or incorrectly without grabbing the tools and fixing the project for them. How did you manage your own urge to "rescue" the campers today? One word for today: ________________________ Mentor's Response

Day 6 - Friday 7 August (as a Facilitator ) Phase IV — Camp Staff Apprentice Focus: Process evaluation, Socratic questioning, and timing Managing a large forum requires a different kind of energy than small-group coaching. What did you discover today about the skill of "holding the space" for a large crowd? Preparing for a big presentation requires distilling days of messy work into a clear, 7-minute pitch. Describe a moment today where you helped a camper or a group find their "core message." What specific question did you ask to help them simplify their thoughts without telling them what to say? Once the campers are on stage, you can no longer help them or speak for them. You have to trust the process. How did it feel to stand back and watch them take full ownership of their project, mistakes and all? One word for today: ________________________ Mentor's Response

Day 6 - Friday 7 August (as a Camper) Phase II — Seed Camp Immersion Focus: Experiencing Research-based Learning, Phenomenon-based Learning How did it feel to let go of your "observer" status and just be a learner? Was it difficult? Why? Describe a moment today when you felt genuinely challenged or engaged by an activity. What triggered that feeling? Looking back at the activity you just did, why do you think the facilitator designed it that way? What was the hidden objective? One word for today: ________________________ Mentor's Response

Day 7 - Saturday 8 August (as a Camper) Phase II — Seed Camp Immersion Focus: Experiencing Research-based Learning, Phenomenon-based Learning Put your "Curriculum Designer" hat back on for a moment. Why do you think the camp designed Day 2 to be the most intense day? Walking through the Exhibition Room as a learner, which specific piece of information, object, or prompt sparked a genuine "Aha!" moment or deep curiosity for you? Why did it grab your attention more effectively than a standard textbook would? Translating ideas from the exhibition into a concrete project for the Youth Forum requires compromise. Describe a moment today where your group experienced friction or "productive struggle." How did it feel to be in the middle of that struggle without a facilitator immediately giving you the answer? One word for today: ________________________ Mentor's Response

Day 8 - Sunday 9 August (as a Camper) Phase II — Seed Camp Immersion Focus: Experiencing Research-based Learning, Phenomenon-based Learning You have now experienced the forum from both sides: as the person holding the space, and as the person taking the stage. How has experiencing this vulnerability as a learner changed the way you will give feedback or lead others in the future? Before stepping onto the stage, your team had to condense three days of messy, complex work into a clear and impactful pitch. What was the hardest part to "cut out" or simplify? How did your team finally agree on your "core message"? You have previously watched the Youth Forum from the perspective of the staff. Today, you stood in the spotlight as a camper. Describe the feeling of being evaluated. How did you and your team manage the pressure in the moments right before you started speaking? One word for today: ________________________ Mentor's Response

Day 8 - Sunday 9 August (as a Camper) Phase II — Seed Camp Immersion My Growth Point Focus: Reflection-on-action and future application Look back at your Day 1 definition of “good learning”. How has your definition changed or evolved? The 'Aha!' Moment: What was your biggest paradigm shift or realization during this internship? Based on your observations and process evaluation, what is ONE concrete recommendation you would give to the Seed Camp team to improve the learning process or operations? How will you apply the skills you learned here (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, Facilitation, Leadership, Systems Thinking, ) to your future studies or career and building a sustainable future for your community??

Nice to meet youWith warmest wishes, The Seed Camp 2026 Team

The seeds of wisdom planted in the minds of today's youth will grow into the foundation of a sustainable future for our nation.
