FROM MAMÁ IF YOU EVER FEEL LOST 15 JUNE 2026
There will be days when you doubt yourself, feel alone, make mistakes, or wonder if you're enough. On those days, I hope you remember these truths.
YOU ARE LOVEDFor this time I want you to read 1 Nephi 11:16–17 Out of all the scriptures in the Book of Mormon, I chose this one because it is so simple. Nephi didn't say he understood everything. He didn't say he had all the answers either. What he knew was this: God loves His children. I hope you never forget that. There will be people who judge you for your mistakes, your appearance, your choices, or your failures. There may even be times when you judge yourself. But I hope whenever that happens, you remember this scripture. Before you accomplish anything. Before you prove anything. Before you become anything. You are loved by God. And you are loved by me.
CHRIST UNDERSTANDS YOUR PAIN“And he shall go forth suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind… And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death… that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people…” I chose this scripture because one day you will experience pain. Maybe it will be heartbreak. Maybe disappointment. Maybe grief. Maybe loneliness. Whatever it is, I don't want you to think Christ only understands it from a distance.) He understands it because He lived it. He chose to experience every kind of pain so that He could know exactly how to help you through yours. If there is ever a moment when you feel like nobody understands what you're carrying, I hope you remember that He does. ALMA 7:11–13
WHEN EVERYTHING CHANGES HIS LOVE DOESN'T Ether 12:6 "For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed." One day, there will be things in your life that change. People you love may leave. Plans may fall apart. You may lose things you thought would always be there. There may even be moments when you feel like your whole world has been shaken. That's why I chose this scripture. Because Christ doesn't promise that life will always be easy. He doesn't promise that mountains won't move. He says that even if they do, His kindness will not depart from you. I want you to remember that. Not because life will always go the way you want it to. But because no matter what happens, His love for you does not change. When everything around you feels uncertain, I hope you hold on to the things that are certain: You are loved. You are known. You are not forgotten. And Christ's peace is still available to you and He will always be.
YOU NEVER HAVE TO CARRY IT ALONE Mosiah 24:13–14 "Lift up your heads and be of good comfort... and I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs." One day there will be burdens in your life that feel too heavy. Maybe it will be disappointment. Maybe grief. Maybe anxiety about the future. Maybe something you don't even know how to put into words. I chose this scripture because I love that God doesn't just tell His people to be stronger. He helps them carry what they're carrying. The burdens weren't removed immediately. But they were made lighter. I hope you remember that when life feels overwhelming. Sometimes God doesn't calm the storm right away. Sometimes He strengthens you enough to walk through it. And sometimes that's just as much of a miracle. When you feel like you're carrying too much, please don't try to do it alone. Let Christ help you. He never intended for you to carry every burden by yourself.
3 Nephi 9:13–14 “Return unto me… that I may heal you.” I don’t know what mistakes you will make in your life. But I do know something very important: You will never be too far to return and repent. I chose this scripture because Christ doesn’t wait for perfection. He waits for your willingness to come back. And when you do, He heals. Not judges. Not rejects. He heals with open arms and so much love. If you ever feel unworthy, remember this invitation was written for you too.YOU CAN ALWAYS COME BACK
YOU WERE CREATED FOR JOY Alma 36:20–21 “And oh, what joy, and what marvelous light I did behold… yea, my soul was filled with joy as exceeding as was my pain!” I chose this scripture because I want you to understand something really important about life. Joy is not always simple. Sometimes it comes after pain. Sometimes it comes after confusion. Sometimes it comes after a season where you don’t even recognize yourself anymore. Alma describes something very real here that the joy he felt later was just as strong as the pain he went through before it. That matters to me. Because I don’t want you to think that hard seasons are wasted. Or that they mean something is wrong with you. Sometimes they are part of what makes joy feel real when it finally comes. And when it does come, I hope you recognize it. Not as something small. But as something sacred. Something Christ helped bring you through Always look for joy, for happiness, for love, to do good and to receive the goodness that there is to live in this life, because you were created for joy.
BUILD YOUR LIFE ON HIM Helaman 5:12 "And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation... a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall." If there is one thing I hope you remember from everything I have shared, it is this: Build your life on Jesus Christ. Not because life will be easy. Not because you will never struggle. But because He is the only foundation that will not move when everything else does. I chose this scripture because throughout your life there will be many things competing for your attention and trust. People will tell you where to find happiness, success, security, and purpose. Some of those things will be good. But none of them can hold you up the way Christ can. When you remember that you are loved, when you remember that He understands your pain, when you remember that His love never changes, when you allow Him to help carry your burdens, when you come back to Him after mistakes, and when you find joy in Him —you are building your life on a foundation that will last. I don't expect you to be perfect. I don't expect you to have all the answers. But I hope you always know where to turn. Because no matter where life takes you, Christ will always be someone you can stand on.
DON’T FORGET THAT THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTIONS ARE IN THE SCRIPTURES, ASK AND PRAY With love, mom
