Obituary Jo Ann Singleton Taylor, age 69, of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away peacefully in her home on August 03, 2026. She was the second girl and second oldest from the union of Esther Wharton and James “Jake” Singleton Sr. She attended Henderson H. Dunn. She met her soulmate; Larry Taylor Sr. at the age of 12, and they married 3 years later on August 21, 1971. Their union produced 6 children. Jo Ann enjoyed cooking, singing. gambling. She was very family oriented, becoming a self-proclaimed nurse and caregiver to any family member in need. She was very outspoken and boldly herself in every way. If there was anything we can learn from her it would be to live in your full truth and embrace all of you, your ups, downs, and best moments to be and remain your authentic self. Jo Ann is preceded in death by her mother and Father, her sisters: Annette Singleton, Earlene Singleton Taylor, Donna Bell Cato, her youngest son: Wesley Isaiah Taylor Sr., her grandchildren: Latoya Young and Brent Windell Davis Jr., Jo Ann is predeceased 1 great grandchild Ka’ani Neal. She leaves behind to mourn her memory her siblings: Karen, James {Jr}, Stephen [Sr], Lori, Troy, Marvin, and Phyllis, her husband, her children and children in law Esther Ann Taylor, Larry Taylor Jr. (Laura), Brandy Marie Taylor Davis (Brent Sr.), Ryan DeWayne Taylor, Kimberly Glover Taylor, Miranda Sherrie Taylor Jackson (Michael), 19 grandchildren: Alexis, Tyrone, Tyraneka, Jo Neka, Troy, Schatasha, Manisha, Larryian, Larryelle, Aiklen, David, Dewayne, Desean, Cleveland, Wesley Jr. Wish, Raven. 25 great grandchildren: Karan, Jariah, Tyrone Jr, Jodie, Janayah, Armani, Ariana, Aaliyah, Tyler, Ariana, Chelsea, Elenore, Niylah, Hakeem, Elijah, Nyeli, Danari, Serene, Kamarya, Marena, Jaxson, Lemontray, Kason, Kayrie, Aspen 1 adopted grandson Joaquin Knight, and 1 great-great grandchild: Salani
