This portfolio presents the landscape architecture and urban design work of Emma Paling. It is intended for potential clients, collaborators and employers reviewing the designer's experience in public space, residential subdivision and institutional projects across Sydney, Australia.

The first major project is the Rosenthal Carpark Redevelopment in Lane Cove, a design competition entry to transform an existing car park into a community park. The concept includes a town green lawn, a fountain, a sculpture garden, pedestrian connections to shops and car park, and roof gardens. The designer assisted with conceptual design of the public space wrapping over a multi-level carpark.

The second project is the Redbank Residential Subdivision in North Richmond, a masterplan for an 85-acre heritage-protected site. It includes a childcare centre, aged care facility, health centre, shops, play areas, sports facilities and parkland. The designer worked on masterplan development through to construction, coordinating with arborists, civil engineers, ecologists and heritage consultants.

The portfolio also covers the Belmont Precinct within Redbank, a rural-style residential precinct around an existing water body. Further projects include the Anglicare Oran Park Masterplan for a retirement village with accessible paths, play area, BBQ facilities and vegetable garden, and the Santa Sabina College Hall Upgrade in Strathfield, featuring a terraced courtyard with amphitheatre seating and directional lighting for performances.

Each project section states the objective, the designer's role, and lists collaborating firms such as Calder Flower Architects, PMDL Architects, J. Wyndham Prince, and Molino Stewart. The portfolio includes concept masterplans, detailed sections, and site sketches. References to placemaking principles like 'form follows function' and integration of pedestrian access appear throughout.
