Vyapti is the institutional newsletter of NTPC School of Business (NSB), Noida. This August 2026 issue (Volume 6, Issue 8) reports on recent events, programmes, and achievements at the school. It is intended for the NSB community including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and industry partners.
The issue opens with coverage of the 80th Independence Day celebration at NSB. The event included flag hoisting and an address by Director Dr. R. Gopichandran, with participation from faculty, staff, students, and their families.
A major feature is the Capacity Building Programme on Policy and Regulatory Aspects of Electricity Distribution for DISCOM officials, part of the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) under the Ministry of Power. The programme, led by Dr. Brijesh Bhatt, targets 500 officials across 20 batches. The inaugural session included addresses by Dr. R. Gopichandran, Shri Ashok Rathore (CGM, RDSS), Shri A. K. Pandey (CGM, NTPC), and Ms. Rachana Singh Bhal (ED, PMI).
The newsletter also covers Ms. Rachana Singh Bhal's interaction with newly joined PGDM (Executive) Batch 10 students, where she discussed the programme's focus on managerial capabilities and industry relevance. She also inaugurated a new computer lab at NSB.
Faculty activities are highlighted: Dr. Sandeep Kumar delivered an invited expert session at NIT Hamirpur on Si-Ge materials for photodetectors and perovskite solar cells. Dr. Shiv Ratan Agrawal conducted an MDP session at Amity University, Gurugram, on qualitative data analysis using a zero-coding platform.
Finally, the issue announces a faculty publication by Dr. Alka Rai in the book 'Flexible Working Arrangements' (Taylor & Francis). Her study identifies critical success factors for flexible work arrangements in the Indian context, based on interviews with stakeholders from IT, education, consulting, and public sector enterprises.
