Page 3 of 7 In the year 1947, it was a happy day in the evening. We were eating snacks and listening to the radio. Suddenly, we heard some people shouting. We thought a small fight was happening, so we continued listening to the radio. Then we heard some noises of gunshots. We understood it was a war. In our family, there were 4 members. By then it was dark, so we turned off everything and covered the windows with our curtains so no one could see us. We were safe because our brave soldiers were fighting the enemy. After the war was over, our windows were broken, and many things fell. When we came out, some people lost their lives, and many were injured. This was the 1st war between India & Pakistan. SDG 16 - Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions - is the foundation for all other goals. The 1947 India-Pakistan war showed the world what happens resolvedwhen conflict is not peacefully.
