Introduction 01

Industrial training is an essential component for students to gain practical exposure and understand the application of academic knowledge in a real working environment. It provides an opportunity for students to develop professional skills, adapt to industry expectations and experience the working processes within their respective fields. As a final semester student of Diploma in Communication and Media Studies (MC110) at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Rembau, I completed my industrial training at Eldika, an online- based company that focuses on digital marketing, content creation and social media communication. During my training period, I was placed under the TikTok Content & Marketing Department, where I was involved in various activities including content planning, creative idea development, product shooting, video production, editing and audience engagement. These responsibilities allowed me to experience how communication strategies are implemented to create effective digital content and strengthen brand presence. The main objective of this industrial training was to enhance my understanding of the communication and media industry by applying the knowledge and skills gained throughout my academic journey. It also aimed to improve my technical abilities, creativity, professional communication and teamwork skills through hands-on experience. This training was relevant to my field of study as it allowed me to apply concepts related to media production, communication strategies, audience analysis and digital content development into real industry practices. Throughout this journey, I expected to gain a deeper understanding of the creative industry, improve my confidence and develop the ability to produce meaningful content that connects with audiences. This creative report presents my overall industrial training journey, including my responsibilities, skills acquired, challenges faced and valuable experiences gained throughout my placement at Eldika. The company utilises online platforms as an important medium to promote products, communicate with customers and build a stronger connection with its target audience. As part of the growing digital business industry, Eldika emphasises the importance of creative content and effective communication strategies in creating brand awareness and attracting customers through social media platforms. he company’s activities involve product promotion, online marketing, content development and customer engagement, where creativity and communication play an important role in achieving business objectives. 2.3 Department Overview During my industrial training, I was assigned to the TikTok Content & Marketing Department. This department is responsible for planning, producing and managing creative content to support the company’s online presence. The main functions of this department include: Generating creative content ideas Planning content according to trends and audience interests Producing videos and promotional materials Improving audience engagement through digital platforms Working in this department allowed me to understand the importance of teamwork, creativity and strategy in producing effective communication content. 2.4 My Working Environment Throughout my internship, I experienced a creative and collaborative working environment where ideas were shared, feedback was encouraged and teamwork was essential in completing tasks. The exposure to a professiornal environment helped me understand the workflow of the media industry and improved my ability to adapt to real workplace expectations. PAGE I 12

During my industrial training at Eldika, I was assigned under the TikTok Content & Marketing Department. My role involved supporting the creative process of developing digital content, from generating ideas until producing content that aligned with the company’s marketing objectives. Throughout my internship, I was exposed to different stages of content production including planning, shooting, editing, publishing and audience engagement. These experiences helped me understand the importance of creativity, communication and strategy in producing effective digital content. One of my main responsibilities was contributing ideas for social media content. Before creating content, I learned the importance of understanding the brand identity, target audience and current trends. The process involved: • Researching current TikTok trends • Developing creative content ideas • Planning video concepts and flow • Discussing ideas with the content team Through this process, I learned that successful content requires more than creativity. 3.3 Content Creation & Production I was actively involved in the content production process, including preparing and creating videos for digital platforms. My responsibilities included: • Assisting in content preparation • Participating in shooting sessions • Preparing visual ideas for products • Becoming a talent for selected content Being involved directly in production improved my confidence and allowed me to understand how visual communication influences audience attention. During my internship, I gained experience in product shooting sessions where I learned how to present products creatively through visual storytelling. I was involved in preparing content concepts and ensuring the visuals matched the brand’s image. This experience taught me that product presentation is not only about showing a product, but also about creating an attractive experience that connects with customers. 3.4 Product Shooting & Visual Presentation PAGE I 15

3.5 Video Editing & Post-Production Process After the shooting process, I assisted in preparing content before publishing. The editing process involved: • Selecting suitable video clips • Arranging content flow • Adding captions and visual elements • Improving overall content presentation Through editing, I learned that small details can influence audience understanding and engagement towards a piece of content. Throughout my internship, I was introduced to TikTok content strategies and how brands utilise social media to increase engagement. 3.7 Live Selling Experience Starting from 20 April, I was given the opportunity to participate in TikTok live sessions for product selling. Through live sessions, I learned how to communicate with audiences in real time, explain products confidently and create interactive experiences with customers. This experience improved my confidence, communication skills and understanding of online customer engagement. 3.8 Overall Reflection My responsibilities throughout the internship allowed me to experience the complete content creation process. Connecting Classroom Learning With Industry Practice Throughout my industrial training at Eldika, I was able to apply the knowledge and skills gained from my studies in Diploma in Communication and Media Studies into a real working environment. The experience allowed me to understand that communication theories and media practices learned in the classroom are closely connected with industry requirements. Every task completed during my internship required creativity, strategic thinking and effective communication. 4.1 Application of Communication Knowledge One of the important aspects I applied during my internship was communication skills. In my academic journey, I learned that effective communication requires understanding the audience, delivering clear messages and creating meaningful interactions. During my internship, these skills were applied when communicating with supervisors, colleagues and audiences through digital platforms. 4.4 Skills Developed Throughout Internship Communication My communication skills improved through daily discussions, teamwork and professional interactions with colleagues. Confidence My involvement in shooting sessions and live selling activities helped me become more confident in presenting myself and communicating with audiences. 5.1 Adapting To A Fast-Paced Creative Environment One of the challenges I experienced during my internship was adapting to the fast-moving nature of the digital content industry. Content trends on social media change constantly, which required me to continuously explore new ideas and understand current audience preferences. To overcome this challenge, I learned to conduct research, observe trends and develop ideas that were suitable with the brand’s direction. Lesson Learned: I learned that creativity requires flexibility, continuous learning and the ability to adapt according to industry changes. 5.2 Maintaining Consistent Content Quality Producing content consistently while maintaining quality was another challenge throughout my internship. Each content needed to represent the brand identity while also attracting audience attention. Through this experience, I learned the importance of planning, organising ideas and paying attention to small details during the content creation process. 5.3 Building Confidence In Content Production At the beginning of my internship, participating in shooting sessions and becoming part of the content production process was a new experience for me. However, through continuous involvement, I gradually improved my confidence in presenting ideas, communicating with the team and appearing in content when required. Lesson Learned: Professional confidence develops through experience, practice and willingness to step outside my comfort zone. 5.4 Recommendations Based on my industrial training experience, I believe that future trainees can benefit from a more structured introduction to company workflow and responsibilities during the early stage of training. Providing more opportunities for trainees to participate in different projects can further enhance their practical skills, creativity and confidence. For students, being proactive, open to feedback and willing to learn from every task is important because every experience contributes to personal and professional growth. 5.5 Reflection The challenges faced throughout my internship journey have strengthened my problem-solving skills and prepared me to become more adaptable in the communication and media industry.
