As our Standard Five students prepare to move on to a new and exciting chapter in their academic lives, we celebrate their growth, and the wonderful memories they have created along the way. These students are leaving behind their classrooms, teachers and friends who have been such an impactful part of their primary school experience and stepping into an environment filled with new opportunities, challenges and experiences. As our graduates prepare for this exciting journey, we encourage them to carry the lessons learned such as respect, responsibility, perseverance, kindness and determination. Remembering that success is not only measured by grades, but also by the character they demonstrate and the positive contributions they make to those around them. We extend a heartfelt congratulations to our graduating students. We are proud of how far they have come and confident that they will continue to learn, grow and shine in their new schools. We hope our graduates will go on to dream big, believe in themselves and embrace every opportunity that comes their way.Congratulations, Class of 2026! A MORNE DIABLE SPELLING BEE CHAMPION Celebrating Young Academic Excellence There is much excitement and pride at Morne Diable RC Primary School following the outstanding achievement of one of its young scholars, Devin Aberdeen, who emerged as the 2026 Champion of the Standards Two and Three category of the MINDSTAR National Spelling Bee Competition. The national competition, held on May 13, 2026, at the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts (SAPA), brought together talented young spellers from schools across Trinidad and Tobago. Devin represented St Martin de Porres RC Primary School, Morne Diable, and secured the top position in his category, demonstrating impressive vocabulary, concentration and confidence. Devin's accomplishment is a wonderful reflection of the importance of hard work, preparation and perseverance. Competing on a national stage requires more than knowing how to spell difficult words; it requires confidence under pressure, careful listening, determination and the ability to remain focused. His success is also a proud moment for his teachers, parents, and classmates. It reminds us that with encouragement, dedication and the right opportunities, our young learners can achieve great things. As we celebrate Devin's accomplishment, we also recognise the teachers and family members who supported him throughout his preparation. Their encouragement played an important role in helping him develop his skills and confidence. We also congratulate Johanan Talt for his accomplishments in the Std 1 category of the competition.

A CELEBRATION OF FAITH Our school community recently celebrated a beautiful and significant milestone in the faith journey of some of our students as several children received their First Holy Communion and the Sacrament of Baptism. Congratulations to the students from St David’s RC, Brasso RC, San Fernando Boys and Arima Boys’ RC on receiving their respective sacrements. The occasion was one filled with joy, gratitude and thanksgiving as the students took important steps in deepening their relationship with God and becoming more fully connected to the Catholic faith. The celebration was made even more meaningful through the presence and support of family members, teachers, catechists and members of the wider school and parish communities. Fr. David Khan (CEO, CEBM) congratulated the students on reaching this important milestone. He also expressed his hope that the newly baptized and First Communion candidates would continue their journey of faith by attending Mass regularly and remaining active in the life of the Church. His message serves as an important reminder that receiving the sacraments is not the end of a journey, but rather the beginning of a deeper relationship with Christ. A heartfelt congratulations again is extended to all the students who received their First Holy Communion and those who were baptized.

OUR FUTURE AND PAST - IN GOOD HANDS History came alive at Todd’s Road RC Primary School as the school proudly launched its Heritage Keepers Club, an exciting initiative of the National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago aimed at nurturing a deeper appreciation for the nation’s rich cultural and historical heritage. Students are taught the importance of taking on the responsibility of learning about, documenting and helping to preserve the heritage of their community and country (right). The Heritage Keepers Programme introduces students to heritage through interactive activities that connect learning with their own communities. Through research and exploration, students will gain a greater understanding of the people, places and traditions that have shaped their surroundings. The initiative also reinforces the importance of educating young people not only about their history, but also about their responsibility as custodians of the nation's heritage. GREEN THUMBS IN THE MAKING After the Corpus Christi celebrations this year, the Cub Scouts and Girl Guides of Chaguanas RC - along with their parents - planted young plants at the school after the Holy Mass and procession in the parish of St. Phillip and St. John.
