LEARNING LOGEven a little stone could knock the tallest towers. When we were tasked to research about an invention, my mind automatically thought of machines and vehicles. I used to think that the greatest inventions are the ones that involves electricity and I could not be more wrong. In this week, I learned that simple products also create significant impact. When examples were shown to us, I realized that even a simple band aid, a thing that I take for granted were such an important invention. Without these, our lives would be so much more complicated. Wounds would have longer time in healing and risks of infections would be higher. A band aid is truly a physically small yet largely important invention! I also learned that no invention is perfect at their first prototype. One of the best examples I could give is the airplane. The Wright Brothers didn’t make it already having the ability to fly for multiple hours. The airplane that we have today is the product of many tests and fixings. Yet, we can’t say that the plane we have now is perfect, it still has so much room for improvement. Just like in life, we are born not knowing everything. The person we are today is the product of the mistakes and lessons that we learned. Still, we are still thriving to be the best version of ourselves. Since this activity is performed by group, I learned the importance of efficiency and also teamwork. I could proudly say that my group consists of members that have so much talent and wisdom. They make every group activity easier by their cooperation. I admire the wit and grit they provide for the group. Though I have to admit that we still need to improve in our efficiency. Overall, I learned a lot this week. I learned the importance of even the smallest things. I learned that we can always improve and that also applies for our group. I hope to learn more and be the one who makes small actions with big changes.WEEK: 2
