Translation of Najrani Heritage Vocabulary into English Embodying its civilational role in safeguarding spatial memory, the Najran Archeology and History Association (JATN)—with generous support from the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission (via the Madeed Initiative)—launched an ambitious documentation project to translate the heritage vocabulary and local lexicon of the region into English. This project serves as a cultural guide and a knowledge resource for visitors and the tourism pioneers in the area * Visual and Linguistic Documentation: Presenting each heritage term in its original language alongside its English equivalent, supported by semantic explanations and visual evidence that embody the term and revive its heritage dimensions * Preserving Identity from Extinction: Protecting the tangible and oral heritage of the region from linguistic distortion and marginalization, ensuring its seamless transmission across generations. * Knowledge Sustainability: Establishing the project as a timeless lexicographical and cultural reference, as well as a bridge for intellectual communication that carries Najran’s ancient legacy into broader global horizons.
