This is an academic portfolio by Duaa Alshawaf, an interior design student. It presents two studio projects completed during her studies, along with her personal design philosophy and professional background.

The portfolio opens with an about me section and design philosophy statement. The author describes her approach to creating spaces that balance aesthetics, functionality, and emotion, aiming to enhance human experience through thoughtful design.

The first project, Studio 4, is a collaborative office design for Sumou Real Estate in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The 4700m2 space targets real estate investors, developers, homebuyers, commercial clients, and government entities. The design concept focuses on uncovering hidden community potential through flexible layouts, natural elements, and sustainability.

The project includes site analysis covering climatic, environmental, physical, economic, and cultural factors. Climatically, the site has hot dry summers and mild winters with high solar exposure. The design addresses noise from nearby roads and integrates greenery for micro-climate improvement.

Material selections include black metal satin paint, walnut dark stain, marble, and oak light stain. Sustainability strategies incorporate cross ventilation and night-flush cooling. The second project, Studio 5, focuses on a culinary institute design.
