Fashion Business Writing - Student Magazine

A student fashion and lifestyle magazine featuring articles on sneaker design, beauty YouTube nostalgia, and athleisure trends.

This is a student fashion and lifestyle magazine created by Shamita Shetty and Shobhitha Krishnan, third-year FCS-B students. It contains editorial features, advertorial content, and blog-style articles focused on contemporary fashion, beauty, and streetwear culture.

The first feature is an advertorial about Comet's limited-edition sneaker called 'Maachis', inspired by vintage Indian matchbox design. The article describes the sneaker's beige and red suede construction, functional striker strip on the back tab, and matchbox-inspired packaging. Only 800 units were produced, with Utkarsh Gupta, Co-Founder of Comet, quoted on the design inspiration.

The second section is a blog post reflecting on beauty YouTube from 2014 to 2016. The author discusses creators like Kaushal Beauty, Tati, Tanya Burr, Corallista, and Christen Dominique, and how their long-form tutorials shaped her beauty journey. Products mentioned include Urban Decay's Naked Palette, Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder, and M.A.C lipsticks.

The final editorial piece examines athleisure as everyday fashion. It discusses flare pants, wrap-around tops, and brands like Pace Active, Truvvo, Kica, and BlissClub bringing these styles into Indian activewear. The article notes celebrity off-duty style from Hailey Bieber, Bella Hadid, and Kendall Jenner, but argues athleisure no longer needs celebrity validation.

The magazine includes social media strategy sections for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn, suggesting this may be a student project combining fashion journalism with digital marketing coursework. The content is written in a personal, reflective tone typical of lifestyle blogging.
