SPECULATIVE SUSTAINABILITY Introduction The Wallington Estate, a historic rural setting in Northumberland, serves as the backdrop for the study. The estate has its roots in the history of the William Black- ett family and plays a vital role in the cultural character of the area. It is home to a number of listed structures, such as the Walled Garden, Owl House, and Walling- ton House.Wallington has the potential to become a model for sustainable URBAN regeneration in the modern period. I used 3D SCANNER in the workshop to accurately and quickly realise my design ideas. While 3D SCANNER made it easier to quickly prototype complex shapes, elaborate designs on a vari- ety of materials. Choosing an item with significant historical, cultural, or environmental from the Museum, gallery is the project. A fossil, a cultural artefact from the area’s past, or a native species model, like a butterfly specimen from Tunstall Hills, are examples of unique artefacts or specimens with ties to local or natural heritage, as the muse- um focusses on both natural history When I looked at the butterfly model, I didn’t just see its structure,I tried to follow the thought process it suggested. As I scanned through its patterns, I started to no- tice connections that sparked new ideas in my mind. From that exploration, I put together what I’m calling a speculative form. It’s not a final answer, but rather an attempt to capture the possibilities the model opened up for me. In a way, the but- terfly model became less of a diagram and more of a guide that helped me imagine something new. PLAN SECTION CUT FROM THE FORM PHASE OF THE DESIGN PHASE OF THE DESIGN *This parametric organic form envisions speculative sustainability. *It offers a unique opportunity to experience nature thoughtfully designed, envi- ronmentally sensitive living spaces. *The use of existing infrastructure, where contour ,terrain collection from the mixed use space irrigates, Steel construction with truss beams connecting con- crete floor slabs creates a link between the past and the present. The materials used creates a bridge between the memory, place identity and the post industrial history of wellington, Northumberland.
framework for a sustainable farm redevelopment. Intended as an urban gardening and agricultural learning center, it features new technology and innovation for farming and instructional structures; an inspiration of the possibilities of the post-industrial areas of today’s world as a productive, efficient, vigorous, and progressive agricultural area of the future. The construction industry in the UK relies heavily on timber, using around 3.7 billion cubic meters annually, leading to deforestation and biodiversity loss. Plywood, a key product in this sector, depends on hardwood and softwood forests, which are being over-har- vested. The manufacturing of plywood also generates significant greenhouse gas emissions due to the energy-intensive timber pro- cessing and the use of formaldehyde-based adhesives, contributing to indoor pollution. PHASE OF THE DESIGN
MIXED USED SKYSCRAPER * The concept is based on the idea of creating a sequence of spaces that gradually transition from being more confined or introverted to becoming more open and extroverted. This transition can be achieved through various architectural techniques, such as changing ceiling heights, altering the scale of openings, manipulating the flow of natural light * The dot to space concept is often used to enhance the spatial experience and create a sense of progression or discovery within a building. * architects can create a dynamic and engaging environment that encourages movement, exploration, and interaction. It can also establish a visual connection with the surrounding context, whether it is a natural landscape or an urban setting, by framing specific views or integrating exterior spaces into the overall design. CONCEPT DOT TO SPACE S.W.O.T Analysis : Strength * site is located on a flat land .the allow the building to be in rhythm with the surrounding ,eas- ily accessible from metro ,MMTS as well as bus stop, thus promoting public transport Weaknesses: * as the land around is still underdeveloped, its is difficult to respond to the possible future development. Opportunities : * the location of the site is its most striking feature and can be utilized in the architectutal ex- pression as it is located on a corner plot .Giving full accessed view from outside .The slope of the is favorable for the creation of green space next to the road . * corner plot allows for better connection with the movement system around the site -better scope for creating a pedestrian edge. Threats: *if the future development on adjoining plot does not go about as planned.the project may end being an island disconnected from the surrounding. CLIMATE ANALYSIS CONCEPT IN AIR FLOW *FLOW OF PEOPLE TO THE BUILDING IN MY MAJOR IDEA. 2
ENTRANCE ELEVATION
Fusion of Form & Function in Contemporary3 For this residence project, I was responsible for developing the elevation details and 3D faade details, ensuring that the design achieved both aesthetic appeal and technical accuracy. The facade was carefully detailed to enhance the architectural character, material expression, and overall visual har- mony while maintaining alignment with the project’s design intent. The 3D visualization effectively communicates the final architectural appearance, highlighting proportions, textures, and contemporary design elements. A stunning modern home that perfectly embodies modern design sensibility with a focus on form, texture, and material contrast is displayed in this 3D architectural visualisation. Clean geometric proportions make up the façade, which is further emphasised by an elegant combination of natural materials and colours that are neutral. Typology -Residence Location- banglore (india)
