However, as I learned more about its objectives and activities, I realized that it is designed to prepare students to become responsible and active members of society. NSTP encourages us to develop leadership, teamwork, discipline, and a willingness to help others. These qualities are essential because they allow us to contribute positively to our communities and become better citizens. Understanding the background and legal foundation of NSTP, particularly Republic Act No. 9163, gave me a deeper appreciation of why community service and civic engagement are emphasized in college. It reminded me that every Filipino has a role in promoting peace, safety, and development. This program has inspired me to become more socially aware and to use my knowledge and skills to make a difference, even through simple acts of kindness and volunteerism. I believe the lessons I gain from NST will continue to guide me as I face future responsibilities in both my personal and professional life.
