Dear Program Challenge Families, Welcome to Program Challenge! I am so excited that your family is joining us this year. Program Challenge is a place where gifted students are encouraged to think deeply, ask questions, solve problems, and discover what they're capable of. Our goal is to provide meaningful learning experiences that challenge students while helping them grow as creative thinkers, confident leaders, and lifelong learners. As parents, you are an important part of your child's journey, and I look forward to partnering with you throughout the year. This guide will help answer many of your questions and give you a glimpse into what makes Program Challenge such a special place. Thank you for trusting us with your child. They are naturally curious and often ask “why,” “how,” and “what if?” as they seek a deeper understanding of the world around them. Gifted learners thrive when presented with meaningful, open- ended tasks that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving. Many gifted students enjoy inventing, designing, imagning, and creating, original ideas and solutions. Encourage curiosity by asking open-ended questions. Celebrate effort, perseverance, and growth. Not just perfect results. Allow your child to struggle with challenging tasks and learn from mistakes. Read together and discuss books, current events, and new ideas. Encourage creativity, exploration, and independent thinking.
