Dear Parents, Welcome to the GEMS Summer Reading Challenge! ☀ As part of our Read Like A GEM initiative, we are delighted to launch our GEMS Summer Reading Challenge, designed to encourage all GFS students to continue developing their reading habits throughout the summer vacation. Reading regularly over the summer helps children maintain and strengthen their literacy skills, expand their vocabulary, improve comprehension, and, most importantly, foster a lifelong love of reading for pleasure. Through our Read Like A GEM initiative, we aim to inspire every child to become a confident, enthusiastic reader who reads widely and often. 🎯 How to Take Part: Take a screenshot of the Summer Reading Bingo Card or print a copy. Complete the reading activities throughout the summer. Record the title of each book, story, article, or text you read, along with the date completed, on your Bingo Card. Once the summer holidays have ended, please return your completed Bingo Card to your class teacher. 🎉 Celebrating Success We look forward to celebrating all completed Summer Reading Challenges in the library after the holidays. Every completed card represents a fantastic commitment to reading and learning. We encourage families to make time for reading together over the summer and to explore books that spark curiosity, imagination, and enjoyment.
