SOME THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT... Arrival and Airport Transportation: We will be arranging a bus from Cartagena to Barranquilla on Tuesday afternoon, after the JetBlue flight arrives, and a return bus from Barranquilla to Cartagena on Thursday. If you filled out the transportation form, you are already on the list. If you did not fill out the form and would like to join, please contact Sheina at +1 (646) 299-1031 as soon as possible. Seats are first come, first served. If you are arriving in Cartagena (CTG) at any other time, you can book a taxi by calling Juan David at +57 320 626 7210. If you are flying in or out of Barranquilla (BAQ), we’ve hired drivers to assist with airport pick-ups and drop-offs. For luggage assistance at the airport or hotel, a suggested tip is $4,000–$10,000 COP per bag, depending on the amount of luggage and level of help. Currency: The local currency is the Colombian Peso. For reference, we are using an exchange rate of approximately 3,200 COP to $1 USD. If you need to exchange money, please meet Zalmy Kavka in the Tea Room at 10:00 AM on Tuesday and Wednesday. Most places also accept credit cards. Weather: Barranquilla is HOT and HUMID — think Miami, but even more intense. Dress accordingly/bring more clothes! Sheitels may get frizzy, and glasses often fog up when moving between air conditioning and the outdoors.Casa Lubavitch Cra. 57 #79 - 44Sinagoga Sharei Sedek Carrera 55 #74-71 Thursday, August 27 Shacharis ................................................................................. Health & Safety: As with any city, please stay aware of your surroundings and avoid leaving valuables unattended. Tap water is not recommended for visitors and may cause stomach issues. Please use bottled or filtered water only. Kosher Food: Kosher food is not generally available in Barranquilla, and even familiar American snacks you might expect to find at a gas station are uncommon. Some supermarkets carry limited imported products, but availability is very sparse. Don’t worry though — we’ll make sure the Tea Room is well stocked, and the local tropical fruits are incredible! For a quick treat near the hotel, Oakberry is located in Centro Comercial Plaza del Parque (at Calle 99 #53-40), about a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Fruit-based items are kosher, but please note that granola and other toppings are not. Stick with the fruit/açaí base only. You’ll also find fresh street fruit on many corners, like mango with lemon and salt — a classic Barranquilla treat — along with ciruelas, mamón, and other local seasonal fruits. Nails: See below for some recommended nail salons. Manicures are very affordable, but appointments tend to move at a slower pace — expect to spend around 2 hours there, and don’t plan on anyone rushing 🙂. To make an appointment, we recommend messaging the salons on WhatsApp, preferably in Spanish. You can also book nail appointments with the hotel salon for convenience. Sugar Rose Nails: Calle 86 #47-05 Barranquilla | +57 (324) 313-2362 Chernika Russian Manicures: Cra. 52 82 - 307, piso 3 | +57 (311) 317-1161 Magic Nails (In Buenavista): www.tumagicnails.com Hair & Makeup: Guests who booked hair and makeup in advance through Raizy will be divided into two appointment groups: Paola’s group and Vanessa’s group. Please see the list at the back of the booklet to confirm which group you are in and where to go for your appointment. Swimming: The hotel has kindly set aside the upstairs pool for our group during select hours, and we’ll be dividing that time into separate men’s and women’s swim hours. The downstairs pool will remain available for family swim, so everyone can enjoy some pool time in the way that works best for them. Please check the schedule below for the designated upstairs pool times. Pool open: 10:00 AM–4:00 PM Men: 10:00 AM–11:30 AM Women: 11:30 AM–1:00 PM Men: 1:00 PM–2:30 PM Women: 2:30 PM–4:00 PM Pool open: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM Men: 9:00 AM–11:00 AM Women: 11:00 AM–1:00 PM Tue, August 25 Wed, August 26

TO DO IN BARRANQUILLA The Dann Carlton Hotel is located directly across the street from Barranquilla’s largest shopping complex, made up of three connected malls: Buenavista 1, Buenavista 2, and Mallplaza Buenavista. The malls feature a mix of Colombian and American stores, along with fun entertainment areas for kids in each mall. Just a short 5-minute drive away is Viva Barranquilla (Cra. 51B #87- 50), another great shopping mall with a large indoor kids’ climbing and trampoline center that has different sections designed for various age groups. Miamito: A local favorite and a great way to experience a bit of Barranquilla outside the hotel. This is a fun stop for guests who want something casual, local, and different from the usual tourist outing. Malecón: Barranquilla’s riverfront boardwalk is a beautiful place to walk, take in the views, and enjoy the city at a relaxed pace. Guests can stroll along the waterfront, try a fresh coconut drink, ride the Ferris wheel, rent scooters, or simply enjoy some fresh air by the river. Volcán del Totumo: For guests looking for a truly unique (emphasis on “truly”) Colombian experience, Volcán del Totumo is a mud volcano where visitors can float in warm mineral-rich mud. It’s quirky, memorable, and definitely a story to bring home. It is located on the way from Cartagena to Barranquilla. Shopping Cultural Experiences Cartagena: Cartagena is one of Colombia’s most iconic destinations, known for its colorful streets, historic walled city, ocean views, shopping, and restaurants. It’s about a two-hour drive from Barranquilla, making it a great option for guests who want to extend their trip before or after the wedding. Chabad Cartagena has both a kosher restaurant and bakery, please visit chabadcartagena.com/en or contact Rabino Saadya Globerman on +57 (350) 5466-686 for more details. Santa Marta: Santa Marta is a beautiful coastal destination with beaches, mountain views, and access to some of Colombia’s most scenic nature spots. It’s a great option for anyone who wants a mix of beach, nature, and local culture. There is no kosher food readily available in Santa Marta, so plan accordingly. Join us on Tuesday for the Barranquilla Highlights Field Trip For guests who will already be in town, we’re planning an optional outing before the Welcome Dinner. We’ll visit the beautiful Sephardic Shul, spend time at the Malecón along the riverfront, stop for fresh coconut drinks, and then hit up the market for fun souveniers and local fare. It’s a relaxed way to experience a little bit of Barranquilla together before the wedding celebrations begin. Planning to join? Please WhatsApp Sheina at (646) 299-1031 so we can include you in the count

Waterpark- Caribe Aventura : A fun, active outing for kids who love water slides, pools, and outdoor play. This is a great way to cool off in the Barranquilla heat and give older kids a memorable activity during the wedding weekend. It is located on the way from Cartagena to Barranquilla. Go Karting: A high-energy activity for bigger kids and teens who want something exciting and a little competitive. Perfect for kids who need a break from formal wedding plans and want to do something fun with cousins and friends. Open till 10pm in the Cerntro Comercial Altos del Pardo- 15 min from the Hotel Bowling: An easy, low-pressure activity that works well for a mix of ages. Bowling is a great option for families or groups who want something fun, air-conditioned, and simple to coordinate. Cra 59B # 81-158 (15 min Drive) The Barranquilla Zoo is a great outing for families who want something local, easy, and kid-friendly. It’s a nice way to see animals, walk around outdoors, and give kids a change of scenery during the wedding trip. Since Barranquilla is very hot and humid, we recommend going earlier in the day, and bringing ice cold water. Calle 77 # 68-40 Big Kids Little Kids WORDS & TERMS TO KNOW...
